I want to display txt files from outside at the bottom
-
https://github.com/DanielHabenicht/MMM-json
Is this all right? -
-
@sdetweil Display the text stored in another TXT file at the bottom. This TXT file is not related to magicirror
-
@史新瑞 ok, maybe
MMM-SimpleText
from the 3rd party modules list
https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki/3rd-Party-Modules -
@sdetweil Thank you very much. I didn’t find it yesterday
-
@sdetweil After installing this module, NPM Run Server is normal and NPM Run Start cannot be used
-
@史新瑞 show messages
-
@sdetweil There is no error message
-
@史新瑞 if npm start doesn’t work, show me ALL the messages
-
@sdetweil Is it the information in the terminal
-
@史新瑞 yes… you can redirect that to a file
npm start >somefile.txt 2>&1
wait…
then ctrl-c
then examine and post
make sure to pm2 stop all before npm start
-
-
@sdetweil Sorry, I can’t find the document you said.
-
@史新瑞 you must create it with the redirection operator >
same as windows. you can capture the output of a command to a file
-

@史新瑞 still not in the MagicMirror folder
cd ~/MagicMirror
npm start -
@sdetweil Sorry, I misunderstood what you said just now
-
@史新瑞 MagicMirror is installed in a subfolder named MagicMirror
the npm command reads the package.json file in the CURRENT folder to determine what to do
npm means node package manager (n.p.m.)
you are in the users home folder
/home/pi
no package.json here…
you must change the current directory (cd command)
