Complete Walkthrough - Install MagicMirror on a PC - Windows 7/10

  • @sdetweil Thank you sir. All is good now.

  • Other question.

    is there a way to acces to mirror server from another device ( like the rpi does)

    i have withelisted all ip. and cant seem to connect. i have created rules in the windows firewall and router and still nothing.

    instead og localhost if i enter 0.0.0.0 i only have a black screen.

    is this possible . im building a smaller mirror and would like to connnect to the mirror that i already have running.

    Thanks

  • forgot to mention that i can acces the server from chrome on the cpu thats running the mirror

    When you try 0.0.0.0, is it in quotes?

            address: "0.0.0.0", // "localhost",
    	port: 8080,
    	ipWhitelist: [],
    	language: "en",
    	timeFormat: 12,
    	units: "imperial",

  • yes its in quote.

  • hm,… mine is like Mykle1’s

      address: "0.0.0.0", // Address to listen on, can be:
                            // - "localhost", "127.0.0.1", "::1" to listen on loopback interface
                            // - another specific IPv4/6 to listen on a specific interface
                            // - "", "0.0.0.0", "::" to listen on any interface
                            // Default, when address config is left out, is "localhost"
      port: 8086,
      ipWhitelist: [], // Set [] to allow all IP addresses
                               // or add a specific IPv4 of 192.168.1.5 :
                               // ["127.0.0.1", "::ffff:127.0.0.1", "::1", "::ffff:192.168.1.5"],
                               // or IPv4 range of 192.168.3.0 --> 192.168.3.15 use CIDR format :

    but u get a black screen? that sounds like two versions trying to run at the same time…
    did u reboot?

  • @sdetweil yep did reboot a few time. it does not seem that i have more thant one mingw32 running or electron browser.

    the only error i have in the log is regardin the polution ( NOAA3 weather updated… next update in 1 hour
    fr
    Whoops! There was an uncaught exception…
    TypeError: Cannot read property ‘pollution’ of undefined)
