Where to get (cheap) acrylic mirror from in Germany

Did they ship the mirror or did you have to pick it up your self? -

following your conversations since a few weeks, guess what ?! I have the same trouble in finding a two way mirror.
Thanks for all the helpfull comments, tough i still strougle to find a feseller that i can afford ;-) Today i was at a glazier, his answer was roughly 220€ for that kind of mirror in 60x60cm. Still trying to find alternatives online…I came across this webpage and there was an interessting side note: “Smart-Mirror können mit Spionspiegeln nur bedingt erstellt werden, dazu sind schwach reflektierende Spiegel besser geeignet. Diese können von uns bestellt werden, unterliegen aber einem Mindestbestellwert.” (Quote: http://www.glaserei-kater.de/spionspiegel.html) Which translates roughly into: Spymirrors/two way mirrors arent the most suitable for a smartmirror, the best should be a low/weak reflecting mirror.
Any ideas about that ? First time I hear from that kind of mirrors and no real products to find on the internet under the phrase “schwach reflektierender Spiegel”.
@dbahn25 The UK Side you mentioned doesnt ship to Germany do they ?

A couple of weeks ago I found this link where several mirrors had been tested (German). The pros and cons are listet in detail and the test results seems to be comprehensible to me: https://glancr.de/development/test-spionspiegel-fuer-smart-mirrors/
Maybe that helps if somebody is in doubt in the right mirror material.

Here are pictures of a mirror by myspiegel.de + frame of bilderrahmen-passt.de
The mirror is darker than another ones i saw on pictures. It’s not a mirror for makeup ;)
But im satisfied and my wife, too! It does look very fine and beautiful with the darkness of the glass.If you expect a real shiny mirror like in your bathroom myspiegel.de is the wrong shop for you.

I picked up the mirror myself. They had a sample in their glasshop which I tested with my setup directly in their shop. Since I did like the result, I decided to order it from them. Stefan -

Thank you very much for the link to “bilderrahmen-passt.de”. I don’t know about this online shop. The frames looking really great and i have ordered one. So i’m looking forward to the finish of my Smart Mirror :-)

@compoti you’re welcome! :D The quality is pretty good and the price as well! I have seen frames with a price around 100 € which had not such a good quality. Now it had a price of 35 € with freight charge.

They don’t say anything specific about that, and it’s possible to choose other countries than the UK in the checkout form. I didn’t go any further, yet, though.My 20x30cm test mirror from glas-per-klick.de should arrive on monday, I’ll post some pictures of it when I get it.
@DirkS is it normal that everything looks kind of blueish / greenish in your room because of the light, or is that the mirror?

Just had a look they offer three types the “silber”, “mirona standart” or the “mirona beamsplitter” - which one did you choose ? -

My test mirror finally arrived today, and I immediately took some photos with it on my screen for you guys ;) I didn’t have much time though, so it’s just a very quick test
I think it looks great, and even though the mirror is VERY reflective (3% transmission) the things displayed on screen are still clearly visible (and I only tested with the normal Windows 10 desktop with a rather dark grey background, but not with a raspi + magic mirror software yet)
@DirkS this one gets quite close to the “shiny bathroom mirror”, which you said the myspiegel.de one is not
I’ll post more pictures when I get on with my build (I’ll build something with that piece of mirror, even though it’s that small…), but that’ll probably not be before next week

Would you post a few pictures of the packaging when you get it? I really wonder how they ship such a big piece of glass, even my small one came in a huge box buried under tons of paper and bubblewrap… -
