      Oh, You don’t need to modify source itself. the everything you had to adjust for your environment should be done in config.js, not MMM-AssistantMk2.js. If you need more configuration options, tell me.

        @Sean this is awesome module, thanks! I have been successful in getting it installed and working with Hotword - responds and provides answers including integrating with calendar, etc. (can make appointment).

        But when I attempt to proceed with the instructions for “Register your Mirror as Google Assistant related device.” I am not sure what input to provide in the deviceInstance.json file for the YOUR_MODEL_ID. I have tried various permutations of what I think it is, but no luck.

        The instructions indicate it comes from the Google Project Console. Is this the Google Cloud Platform? There is a Project Name and Project ID listed on the Cloud Platform; are one of these the YOUR_MODEL_ID?

        Thanks!

          You’ve already made deviceModelId when you mad your credentials.json on first installation. (https://github.com/eouia/MMM-AssistantMk2/blob/master/INSTALL.md#get-auth-and-credentials-to-make-profile)
          If you have forgotten your deviceModelId,
          Go to Google Action console homepage(https://console.actions.google.com) Then find your project and the menu - Device Registration

          0_1544718591079_deviceRegistration.png

          Of course, there are other methods to get Model Id (If you have a plan to get deviceInstanceId also, you need to use CLI. - See https://developers.google.com/assistant/sdk/reference/device-registration/register-device-manual

            But… many features are restricted in this SDK, So I think you don’t need to register Mirror to your Google Home network. Even though your mirror registered on your phone looks very nice, but that’s all. :D

                @jmh474 Follow the link in the first post that bring you to GitHub.
                Once there follow CAREFULLY the step-by-step installation & configuration.

                Only then if there’s still anything not clear or not working ask here. ;)

                    For second issue; Are you using other module to control to hide and show modules? Maybe it makes to show specific module by force. There is no way to prevent force revealing by other module.

                    https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/blob/master/modules/README.md#visibility-locking

                    No luck here, I ended up doing a fresh install with no other modules installed and it still happens. Can’t figure why it only applies to the default weather app, even if I move the position.

                    I can’t figure out why no one else has this issue. Oh well, I guess I can just not use the “hide all” command though. Thanks!

                          Thank you always for your complete modules.
                          I have some questions about YouTube. The YouTube video screen is always full. Is there a way to reduce the size of a pop-up window?
                          And one more thing: can’t I stop or give another command while watching the video?

                            For Resizing Video Player; add this into your css/custom.css and adjust the values;

                            #ASSISTANT_YOUTUBE {
                              position:fixed;
                              top:20px;
                              left:20px;
                              width:400px;
                              height:300px;
                            }

                            And you can stop playing video by hotword waking with option pauseOnYoutube:false.

                              But, ;(
                              Detects hotword during video playback and stops video, but then fails to perform any of the following commands…

                                @wearable9083 If you failed, just try again. I think it might be caused by some lack of resource performance but that might not be the fatal problem. Or, Did you mean AssistantMk2 not working after youtube playing?

                                  After assistant-mk2 has detected hotword, no voice command has been recognized. (during video playback)
                                  .
                                  .
                                  [Voice commands are well recognized when the video is played through without stop.]

                                    Only after closing video, you can order to assistant.
                                    If command be allowed during video playing, Assistant will be activated by sounds of video. So during playing, Assistant is disabled.

                                        @Sean at last got MMM-AssistantMk2 up and running with MMM-Hotword.I have only one little problem,when i ask something i lose the first word of the answer.It is like hdmi sound channel is down and needs 1 sec to wake so i cant hear the first word of the answer.I add to /boot/config.txt the line “force_hdmi_open=1” but didnt help.At my standalone raspberry google assistant installation i had the same problem and this line solved it,but not here…

                                          Sorry, I have no idea about it. Maybe my module would close HDMI when it doesn’t be needed. (Standalone version could open HDMI continuously by force, because there is no need to close for other’s occupation)

                                            @sean it is very annoying not to listen the first word or missing the half of it,do you have an idea to keep hdmi on all the time?
                                            edit: if i use the .asoundrc file of my other gassistant i have no delay but the voice is choppy.

                                            with the first .asoundrc delayless file all other sounds at the Rpi are playback just fine ,only the MMM-AssistantMk2 voice is grainy and choppy… : (
