Even this tread is old, but i have an issue with the starting of mm:

Everything worked well, then i installed MMM-CECControl.
I saved my config.js file bevor i entered the module line in there. But not as usual mm didn´t restart. Not even after a reboot of my raspberry.

Also when i start mm with
pm2 start mm
and
pm2 start MagicMirror
nothing happened.

i don´t know what i should do to start my mm as bevore…

you have been right, it seems, taht the pictures were too big. i shrink them and it worked

Maybe, but i took the images the same way like the first ones.
I will try to edit the fotos an will run again

I have now managed to get the module to recognise me. Following this nice success, I now wanted to add other people to it.

But that is no longer possible, the process always stops:

I start:
python3 encode.py -i …/dataset/ -e encodings.pickle -d hog

then comes:
[INFO] quantifyng faces…
[INFO] processing image 1/17 - …/dataset/Pauline/img01.jpg
Killed

I then tried deleting the first image (img01.jpg) once and trying again. It worked better then, but it still broke. This time, image img01.jpg came first, then image img04.jpg, then Killed.

What could be the reason that the process is no longer executed?

I can’t quite see my way through the structure of the module. Where do I enter the notifications?

e.g.

Where do I insert this part?

What else do I enter here then? Is “Notification 1” what I speak and Alexa hears and then executes?
Surprisingly, when I say “Alexa mirror off” it works, turns the display off. With: “Alexa mirror on” it turns on again.
Can someone show me an example of how this should look?
How do I enter it so that, for example, the module for the weather shows the module “weather” with: “Alexa, switch on the time”?

Wich Display would you prefer to order, that fits with this controller?

Just for Info:
I will use MMM-GoogleCalendar, this workes fine with the famlily calendar from Google.

I almost thought so. But maybe someone knows, so I can narrow down where my mistake is.

If it’s because the person isn’t recognised, it’s different than if I’ve set a parameter incorrectly.
