  • RE: missing 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin'

Concerning the self=this question, I found a neat article giving som explanations: https://alistapart.com/article/getoutbindingsituations

The other question: Could it be, that node_helper is executed on the server and the main script is executed on the client?

  • RE: missing 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin'

    Thank you!

And why does it have to be in node_helper, not in the main script? Sorry, if this question sounds stupid, I’m new to developing modules.

Also, is there a reason for declaring var self = this; and using self.func instead of this.func? I have seen this quite a bit and couldn’t understand why people do this…

I am facing the same problem. Could you please give an example, how you used node_helper.js to circumvent the access-allow-origin policy?

    Thanks!

  • What size of mirror to build?

    Hi,
I would like to build a mirror, too, but I am unsure about the size. What size of monitor and mirror glass are you using? I am thinking about 60*40cm glass and a 24" monitor… will that leave a large margin at the sides? Has anyone done that setup?

What are your mirror and monitor sizes?

    Cheers

Remember, the pi GPIOs can only handle 3V3. Check the voltage of the monitor buttons with a multimeter before soldering. You will likely need a level shifter.

  • RE: frameless mirror

Wow… I was actually thinking of getting a 3% mirror. Will rethink that. What display are you using? Is it a 250cd/m² one?
