To anyone wondering how to switch the calendar to month mode here is a few images.

Please note that it might not work the first time in that case either try again and reload the page or try again and go to settings and save the calendar.

@KirAsh4 I keep my calendar in month mode because it makes sure that events don’t delete halfway through a day and when in month mode it prevents a glitch from occurring. In that glitch on the mirror itself events will be assigned random times, in my case the newest event would be assigned 4:00 am and then each event after that would increase by the hour to 5:00 and so on. There is also an occurrence that events will randomly delete themselves from the actual mirror, not the online calendar, so putting this in month mode will cause them to remove themselves, or stop displaying, on the mirror at 12:00 o’clock midnight the day that they were assigned. It is certainly not necessary but I would do it because it take just a few seconds.

Hey guys sorry I’ve been away so I haven’t seen all these posts but I would recommend putting the calendar in monthly mode so events to disappear prematurely.

I had that same problem. The time in the top right is the time when the sun “officially” sets at your location.

I would like to see if anyone can help me make an API for my mirror. They purpose would be to trigger different layouts of my mirror based off of a terminal or an SSH. I was told it was doable (https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/33/facial-recognition-customize-your-mirror-for-every-user/14) but honestly I have no idea how to do it. If anyone can help me I would love the help.

with you saying, “Different layouts based on facial recognition is already implemented here :slight_smile: It should be trivial to write something similar for the other use cases you just mentioned! Have a look at my code for an example.” While not outright saying it; it does sound something like different “profiles” that are able to be switched between.

I was under the impression that you could sync up multiple different module configurations based on a face or “code.” For example Billy’s face code tracks the weather in London while Sally’s tracks New York’s.

I had a stupid idea to make my mirror have 5 base profiles i.e. a weather, default, news, etc. And, I was going to base that profiling off of your code if possible. Also I was wondering if I could use a command from a terminal to change profile so that I could hook it up to a phone or tablet via something like tasker using a ssh. If possible I would love to attempt it but if not than I’ll move that idea to the trash.

I’m asking in reference to the color of the text.

PPS in layman terms also because I’m just trying to learn how to build a module (module development form) and my brain is already oozing out my ears.

I’d also recommend a wipe before you try anything furthermore you should be more that fine with 32 gigs because mine is running on 16 gigs.

Just wondering, where would I go to change rgb values for the colors on the screen or if the aren’t rgb values then are they hexidecimal?

How many gigs do you have on your micro SD because the operating system alone (for the pi) takes about 3.4 gigs?

Have you tried using the automatic installer? A week ago I cleared my Pi model b 3 and used the auto starter. Note: you need to copy the config sample to js.
