@j-e-f-f It works on P0. My bad, had an extra space in the api key. Thank you.

RE: MMM-OpenWeatherForecast - Replacement for MMM-DarkSkyForecast
@j-e-f-f Thanks for sharing.
Does it work on Pi Zero? In my case it doesn’t load. I just see FORCAST and then “Loading…” forever
Using defaults, no changes made. -
RE: PIR Sensor won't wake up
@sceetch I came to a conclusion to not use any modules which do not show any info on the screen. So, in this case, I use a python script at boot which monitors a PIR and executes an HDMI on/off cmd ;)
-
RE: PIR Sensor won't wake up
@sceetch I’ve, more or less, the same setup but the sh files stored in the MagicMirror folder.

RE: MMM-iFrame-Ping - revisited
@sdetweil making progress by tweaking a bit the line shown above to
chromium-browser --autoplay-policy=no-user-gesture-required --noerrdialogs --incognito --kiosk -start_maximized --disable-features=AudioServiceSandbox --disable-infobars --app=...However, streaming video on a P0 is not the best way to go so, I decided to just stream audio with this link http://stream-uk1.radioparadise.com/mp3-192. It’s much easer on buffering ;)
-
RE: MMM-iFrame-Ping - revisited
@sdetweil you mean in line 78?
chromium-browser -noerrdialogs -kiosk -start_maximized --disable-features=AudioServiceSandbox --disable-infobars --app=...the other way I get an error:
pi@magicmirror:~/MagicMirror $ chromium-browser --disable-features=AudioServiceSandbox [1974:1974:0216/221501.872136:ERROR:browser_main_loop.cc(1432)] Unable to open X display. -
RE: Installing on a Pi Zero
@sdetweil Yes, I set swap to 1024. It’s slow but it works.
Thanks again!! -
MMM-iFrame-Ping - revisited
Hi,
I’m streaming video/music from a web but, for some reason, the audio doesn’t go through on a P0 it does on a P4 using the same config, however,
Youtube and audio tests pass on both pies.
Is there any reason for that?
TIA -
RE: Installing on a Pi Zero
@sdetweil Thank you! Finally got it going. I had to change the SD card.
Now I can finally replace my P4 with the P0. The P4, along with the display, are causing heat related problems so, P0 to the rescue.
Just FYI, I cannot hide the cursor and
sudo apt-get install unclutterdidn’t help. -
RE: Installing on a Pi Zero
@sdetweil I agree but which OS should I use? The lite one?
-
RE: Installing on a Pi Zero
@sdetweil ok. Done the following with no avail.
Removed MagicMirror folder
Ran the install script. No errors. It did an autoreboot but no go.
Reviewed the install_log… no errors.
Did notice, however, the script created 3 folders:
MagicMirror
magic-mirror
magic-mirror-appAt reboot, the X server intent to start but incounters some errors and shuts down with the message: Server terminated successfully (0). Closing log file.
Where do I go from here?

RE: Installing on a Pi Zero
@sdetweil but which one exacly? I had MM running on P4 but the heat produced by the processor, the screen and its electronics, has pushed me to try out MM on a P0. With that, I should resolve the heat issue.
So, after reading several outdated procedures and after investing hours (as you know, P0 is as slow as hell) I’m back to square one.
Which steps should I take from scratch?
Which SO should I start with?
Which install batch should I install?@stanvv’s procedure worked till I had to reboot, then the X server stopped responding
-
RE: Installing on a Pi Zero
@stanvv hi, that install was done on a P0, right?
-
RE: EADDRINUSE: address already in use
@sdetweil thank you. That explains my error shown in the first post.
I’m using npm and a service because I used this procedure to install MM https://docs.magicmirror.builders/getting-started/installation.html#manual-installation -
RE: EADDRINUSE: address already in use
@sdetweil Thanks, I’m probably looking into a non existing problem. Will check.
-
RE: EADDRINUSE: address already in use
@sdetweil Not sure I’m following you. The MM boot is done via the service and it works. Meaning, MM app is booting and the display looks as designed.
What I showed in my last post is the content of the last log file. There’s an error but I don’t know how to interpret it. -
RE: EADDRINUSE: address already in use
@sdetweil actually, I use npm trhrough service to autostart it.
This’ what I get in the log. Enable/Disable video output
Hi,
My MM is connected 24 hrs showing some data and streaming a web with video and music content.
Because of that, I’m using a script to turn HDMI off at night and turn it back on in the morning.
When the monitor turns back on, it doesn’t show video, just sound. Checking the web page, everything is displayed fine, sound included.
I’m using the following cmds to turn on/off the monitor and they work but, as I said, there’s a wake-up issue:
vcgencmd display_power 0 > /dev/nullor
/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -oIs there a way to refresh the video output through MM or, better yet, enable/desable it via a schedule?
TIA
