I tried to run as suggested and came up with this problem:
WARNING! Could not find config file. Please create one. Starting with default configuration.
What is the default configuration please? Is there a dummy one that I could copy or should I create a config.txt file and let MagicMirror write to it please?

@sean Thanks
It really does need to be a standalone computer then. -
RE: Installing on Ubuntu 18.04
I have it installed now. Do you mind me asking some silly questions please?
- How do I now make it run?
- Does it take over the computer? Can I still use it with magic mirror in the background?
I am testing it to see what it is like, hopefully with a view to running it on a computer all the time.
Thanks

RE: Installing on Ubuntu 18.04
@mykle1 said in Installing on Ubuntu 18.04:
npm install
No I just ran the sh script. Just ran the npm command and found I needed to install. I am now running the npm install command. I’ll let you know.
Thanks for the help. -
Installing on Ubuntu 18.04
Complete novice here who thought it would be fun to run on his home computer. Downloaded and unzipped. Ran:
./run-start.sh
And was told electron: command not found.
Where do I go from here please?
Thanks -
RE: Introduce yourself!
Hi All
I’m Richard (when Mum is angry with me!) and Rich generally. I’m 57 and yes mum still gets angry with me! I am married with 2 lovely daughters and live in the best part of England called Cornwall. Most of my life is spent outdoors but recently had a heavy duty op for cancer. It worked and I am clear but left with damaged nerves and bladder. Basically I now work 4 hours a day and I am left with a lot more hours to play!
Came across this project and don’t have a clue what to do or how to install on Ubuntu so will ask the question.
My dream would be to own 5 acres and garden, help young people find jobs and play!
