@Stoffbeuteluwe It needs to receive a notification from another weather module.
I currently don’t plan to integrate a weather api, although it’s conceivable at some point.
What module are you using?

@Sean :face_with_tears_of_joy:
No, that’s not enough.
I keep this on my development dashboard
This is a Magic Mirror module for the kids!!
Show them what to wear outside!
It uses broadcasted weather data to show a boy wearing suitable clothes for going outside.

@Sean Looks veeeery good! Nice work! I can scrap my fork now :-)
@aecandroid said in 4 inch RPi LCD displaying MM not working:
Have you tried the installation from here?
https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/4inch_RPi_LCD_(A)
It should work with the waveshare description.
Can you post your config.txt here or at least the last 10 rows?
@lavolp3 Or this one
https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/4inch_RPi_LCD_(A)
Well they are using the LCD-show “drivers”.
I might be preoccupied since I have had my own fight with these drivers.
But at least they have a good wiki.
@aecandroid said in 4 inch RPi LCD displaying MM not working:
LCD-show and and installed LCD35-show.
THese “drivers” are honestly a mess and not very helpful.
If the screen is connected via hdmi, installing LCD-Show might even set the wrong config options.
Have you had a look on the website of waveshare who are distributing these?
https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/4inch_HDMI_LCD
I doubt your 4inch screen has a native resolution of 320*480.
@sdetweil you’re right. It gets more difficult if I do it in a rep I haven’t created. Need to find out the workflow first and sometimes crate workarounds. Every MM module developer has their own ways of creating update/call cycles.
However since I’m really new to JS this is all still quite challenging.
@Sean working on it and not too far from finished in this branch
https://github.com/lavolp3/MMM-COVID-19/tree/timeseries
Source data is called and parsed to an array which can be used by the chart. This part is done
The chart however is not yet shown in the dom. Chart.js is always tricky for me since the dom object needs to be created first and then filled with the chart.
Also the many dom updates due the revolving regions does not help for me.
But I guess it’s a start.
@Sean I’ve tried to call the timeseries link with the implemented XMLHTTPrequest but only get an incomplete answer (readyState 3, Status 200)
Any suggestions?
