Thanks. That answered my question. I was wondering, how to control the mirror without hardware :)
Another nice implementation is the Skywriter i think with gestures.

I think it’s not a Problem. The idea of your module is important and maybe a programmer will update this solution :)
    Thanks :)

  • RE: MMM-voice

I had a problem with this module too. My first problem was to solve the issue with the usb soundcard. Then i insert the debug line in the config and get some more informations. Now, i say magic mirror and the microphone is blinking and i can say some keywords like HIDE ALL MODULES, and i can see, the module understand me correctly, but do nothing… Anybody know why?

  • Calendar problems with timestamp

    Hi all,

i have problems with the default calandar module. I sync with an outlook calendar. Its fine, if i edit calendar entries and do not use a specific timestamp for example from 9-10 o’clock. Without the timestamp and only with a day, the module works fine. It says for example, the entries is in 2 days or tomorrow. With the timestamp it always come to an error “invalid date”.

I look in the code. The problem is, that the if-else condition is checking “fullday” otherwise it is the else condition. But in the else condition he don’t know the event.startdate. The startdate is always “invalid date”. Anybody know why? Otherwise now is the current date with time and will be correct. It is possible, that he do not know the format of the startdate from outlook?

  • RE: Web-Radio

I dont want to get a touchscreen and clean every 5 minutes the mirror :)

The button module is a nice idea, but the control is the second step. The first step is a module to listen to web radios. I think the music player module is not the right module, because they must be mp3 files in the folder and not the url or m3u files…

  • Web-Radio

    Hi,

anybody else had the idea of a web radio player? I think it’s interesting to use this player for example in the bathroom. Because of the fact, that we doesn’t directly interact with the mirror, i think its a list of 5 preffered url’s. The default url will play music in combination with an pir sensor. If they detect a motion, it will play music. After X seconds they stop playing.

To change the url to another favorites, the Voice modules can be use? For example, keyword “Magic mirror”, “Change radiostation” or “volume up and volume down”. Another idea is the RemoteControl module, but i think a little bit smarter is the voice.

  • RE: MMM-Mail

I have the same problem. In the terminal i can see the following:

    “MMM-Mail-Helper: Mailbox Closed: INBOX
    Mail-Seach complete
    3 Mails fetched”

But the Mirror didn’t display emails. He say “No unread emails”. Anyone an idea? I connect with an outlook.com Account.

That is a very nice module - thanks!
I have one question. In which way you control this module or your mirror? Do you have a keyboard or mouse on it? I didn’t find a way to control this module on the magic mirror.
