  • RE: Partial install of magic mirror module

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I have tried several approaches to get a stable wifi connection. And that is actually the first problem before going to the magicmirror part, and was hoping to find someone who shared a similar experience.

I could never get a stable connection with the raspbian stretch. And following all the steps from the start (reformatting the SD card), and tinkering around with the wlan settings, has got me so far.

@Mykle1, were you able to solve the problem with wifi connection as it seems like the closest occurrence of the issue?

  • Partial install of magic mirror module

    Hey everyone,

I have recently brought a raspberry pi and having issues with the wifi. I could not connect at all with raspbian stretch, and then after installing Jessie, and some tinkering to the interfaces and wpa_supplicant file, and then turning the power management off for wifi, I am seeing a stable connection.

But I cannot use the chromium browser for anything. I can ping google.com from the terminal and have a response rate of 100ms average. But cannot download anything in the browser. Installing any packages from the terminal is also erratic as some download fast, then speed drops (drops to 10kB/s) and then some fail downloading.

On a previous attempt, I was able to install the magic mirror module but it failed halfway through and could not install the dependencies and packages.

I do not know how to continue from here, with respect to the raspberry pi and the partial install of magic mirror.

I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

    Regards,
