My kitchen dashboard (incomplete)
-
Hi all,
Just thought I’d share my work in progress.
This is our “in progress” family kitchen dashboard, currently set up on a full hd computer screen but will be going to a UWQHD screen in the next week or so in it’s final position and format.
I have used the following modules
Standard MM clock
MMM-MyCalendar x 3 times (Family Calendar, Meal Planner, Uniform sections)
MMM-MyWastePickup
MMM-OpenWeatherForecast
MMM-MyCommute
Once I go to the UWQHD screen I may change things up a little but will see how they look and perform first.
I am also thinking of going to a pages scenario where the clock mainly shows with a background image all the time until the pi is triggered somehow to show the other modules.
Cheers,
Brent. -
@brentmatthews
will you show us your dashboard when it is complete;-)? -

I am working on a MM project as well and I’m using MMM-Pages with a macro keypad from AliExpress (Like this: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806121717796.html) and MMM-Keypress (https://github.com/ItsMeBrille/MMM-Keypress) to control it. You could also use an inexpensive external numeric keypad or even just a keyboard.

I haven’t hard of some of those modules. hope you can post a picture soon.

@capedbuffethero Hi, yes I will post a photo as soon as I work out how to. I am new to forums and not sure how to post an image on my post.

@brentmatthews for the future, you can use the @ to reference multiple people in one message.

@sdetweil thank you, I shall do. It’s been a long time since I was last on a forum.

Your family kitchen dashboard looks fantastic! The use of modules like MMM-MyCalendar and MMM-MyWastePickup is really practical. Moving to a UWQHD screen should enhance the display even further. I’m interested in how the page transition will work—sounds like a great idea to keep the interface clean. Looking forward to seeing the final setup!
