Halloween module for Magic Mirror 🎃
-
A simple way to get your Magic Mirror into the festive spirit using the MMM-Halloween module. It’s a great way to add some seasonal vibes without being too over-the-top.
This module is straightforward and kid-friendly, featuring floating ghosts and the option to include a static GIF, like a jack-o’-lantern.
Quick Tips:
*GIF Path: Double-check that your GIF path is correct.
*Customization: Play around with ghost numbers, sizes, and opacity to suit your style.
*Placement: Try different positions for your GIF to see what works best.
*This setup is an easy way to bring a touch of Halloween to your home, and it’s perfect for families. If you have any variations or other Halloween setups for your Magic Mirror, I’d love to hear about them!

@redeyes very cool…
something that ‘may’ contribute
from another requirement, we added support for cron based time events to the compliments module , this gives you to the day AND minute type control
(someone wanted messages only on friday/sat between 16:00-18:00one example was to display Halloween messages just on that day of the month AND TIME
so you could have some messages at 4pm some at 4:30, (get ready kinds of things)
and more BOO type things latersee

you can generate the cron schedule using this site https://crontab-generator.orgExample use with a cron entry

This is awesome!
One suggestion, can you add a configuration setting to specify the png location/name? This way we could use this module for other festive periods :). For example moving snowflake in the winter -
@redeyes I love it! Thanks for sharing :-)
