@spectroman this is pretty cool… I’m just in the beginner phase setting up my mm… also… my 11 month old baby girl has just started recognising the moon… we live in HK … so there are too many sky scrapers around and we had just set out to look for the moon, as we have been doing on our recent evening walks … and started thinking about incorporating the moon (and maybe it’s location as well) on my mm… then I come here and find this :)

love this module! good stuff. Does anyone else have the problem of the moon image not loading at startup? All i get is a blank square with two sides 1px wide. However, when I restart MM it usually works.

@spectroman I like your module! :) Maybe you can add the option that i can configurate the time when the module is shown or hide?
So that the moduel is only shown maybe between 6pm and 7am?

Just found your module. I was pretty excited about it. Looks like http://api.usno.navy.mil/imagery/moon.png has restricted access. Anyone else getting this error?

@checkit, yes these recent days I have seen this error as well… I am looking around for another source.
I will update the module as soon as I found one.
I noticed that entire parts of this server became unavailable, looks like nothing good is happening there atm.

@checkit , I just updated on github a new version that have an image, although a bit low quality but it works…
it also have a new system to download and cache the image.
