Push Notification

I installed Push Notification Modules, but it never shows up any notification. I tried posting issue on github, but the author didn’t respond.

What a shocker… HAHAHA
I have noticed that pretty much anyone above a module developer here won’t answer anyone directly… apparently they are too important to talk directly to the ‘little people’.
Sorry to hear you’re having issues… I just started in this and am too having problems too.

@CaptCutter Please understand that those of us developing the core and modules do this in our spare time – for free! – so that you can have a great fun product to tinker with. It’s not that we feel like we are “too important” but life gets in the way. We all have regular 9-5 jobs, families, and many other commitments besides writing free software for a niche audience.
If this is the attitude that you’ve had posting in this forum, I’m not surprised that you’ve had a difficult time getting help. The mods and developers here are more than happy to help – and that has been my experience from the start – but you are also expected to shoulder a lot of the burden. You need to expend a lot of your own time trying to work through the many issues that will arise. The folks here aren’t just going to hand you everything on a silver platter.

@yours.mukul It’s possible that the module has been abandoned, or that the dev doesn’t have a lot of time. What are you trying to accomplish with the Push Notifications module? Perhaps there is a different way to achieve what you want.

@j.e.f.f Thanx for the reply. Well I need to show up my phone’s notification on my magic mirror. Just like the above modules do. I feel its cool to have a phone notification connected to my mirror, so I do not need to look up my phone.
Is there any other way to achieve it ? -
@yours.mukul As in email alerts, text messages, etc? I don’t know of a particular module that does this, but it’s possible that you might be able to kludge something together using IFTTT (https://ifttt.com/), and by writing a module to receive notifications from that. I know it’s not a complete solution, but it gets you at least halfway there, and given the number of different ways that IFTTT can be used, it might even give you more flexibility than you were expecting.
EDIT There is an IFTTT module. Try this:
