@cyberphox you install it on a mac then port it over to your mirror most likely through HDMI cable.

BUT using Google speech services just keep in mind you only get 50 calls per day…

PLUS you’re inviting them into your house pretty much openly… I wouldn’t but that’s just me.

i get the part about porting it over through HDMI cable. just didn’t know if the install worked the same on mac console line as it did Raspberry Pi.

This is all nice and dandy but configuring and installing all of these dependencies and then making this run is really fragile process. On a top of that it seems like RPI hardware is not really capable of running this. So a few days ago I’ve got Amazon’t Alexa device - Dot and spend sometime connecting it to the MM on RPI and it works very well. (Voice recognition, passing commands, parameters, etc…)
So essentially we are bypassing all of this goo that these guys put together such as Speech AI, Voice Reco, TTS and connecting the result to MM.

Hi, looking at your reply, that sounds a lot like what I’m doing in my blog :

                [https://smartmirrorprojectblog.wordpress.com](link url)

I’m connecting the alexa java client to the MM on a RPI. Anywhere near that? If so, got any resources for me, like Alexa skill code or something?

                Much appreciated
