Hi Sam, when I try to run npm start dev I get an error. Which directory does it expect to be run from? I tried in a few locations and nothing worked.
Thanks,
Kevin -
@laschalkh always in the MagicMirror folder

ok, tried that and got the error:

@laschalkh is this a pi 0?
-
yup, zero w
-
@laschalkh ok, lots of setup, or, remove that mm folder and run my install script
see the instructions here
https://github.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts -
ok, the entire MagicMirror directory or just the modules?
-
@laschalkh the entire, rename it
the problem is there is no electron browser for armv6l (pi0/1) devices anymore, so you have to run split mode, server with chromium over the top
the script does all the work, so it looks like normal
-
Hi Sam,
I went through and rebuilt my pi and then ran your install script. It says it’s installed and when I do a pm status I see the MagicMirror is online. I don’t see the mirror tho. Is there something else I need to do for that to come up on boot?
Thanks,
Kevin -

it looks ok, not complaining. Am I just missing the front end?

@laschalkh it will work, depends on what u want to do… i have one running all day every day, default modules

cool, I just want a couple modules so hopefully won’t b a problem. It’s flashing now so I’ll reach out after it’s running and installed

Hi Sam,
ok, got it all running and it is working. Your script works very well. I tried adding MMM-GoogleMapsTraffic as well and that seems to kill the mirror. It says it can’t find the config file. As long as I leave that out, it’s working.
