    Hi all,

I was wondering if it was possible to incorporate the Amazon Echo Dot into the Magic Mirror. If anyone has any ideas, please tell me.

AlexaPi works pretty well too (once you get the sound to work). It has a wake word in case you don’t have a button to press. There is a Magic Mirror Module for it as well that displays what Alexa is doing on the pi (listening, speaking, errors, thinking, etc…).

@mochman thanks for the leads, looks promising! Sorry for the noob question, but what is AlexaPi designed to do beyond what the Alexa app already does? It seems like it allows you to startup Alexa on boot, but are there other features it provides?

I’m not sure about MMM-Alexa, but MMM-AlexaPi needs AlexaPi installed and configured correctly to work.

would be funny to program an alexa MM-skill, so you can remote controll the MM :D
