with what? ignore what is above

@sdetweil Just a new install of Magic Mirror, rename this as MagicMirror1 and do a new install.

@louise no… u havent hurt anything… we can get back the changed files easy
the design makes it so we can change the code whenever we need to (we own it) and your implementation is not impacted, and you also aren’t blocked from getting the quarterly updates (next one coming Jan 1) …
if you think it would be easier for you, then sure ,rename the folder, use my script to install again
and then migrate your source file changes to config.jsbut u can migrate the changes now, no harm …

{
module: “clock”,
position: “top_left”
},still didnt’ get the select all
and this is the only part we needed
{ module: “clock”, position: “top_left” },
it has no config:{} section, so all the module defaults are used
to change some setting here do
{ module: “clock”, position: “top_left”, // <- add a comma (more stuff follows this line) config : { timeFormat:24, } },
in the setting above clock will use 24 hour format, even if the base is set to 12 hour format

@sdetweil Given a choice I would rather just have this figured out. Did I do right this time?
-
@louise no

@sdetweil frustrated yet?
It is my config.jsI know it says sample on top but it didn’t mess with any of that. I added in the disabled the compliment and newsfeed like u said so that worked.
I don’t understand apparently.

@louise here

the part of config.js is right, but the code block is wrong… and its doubled for some reason
when we ask for a module config, we don’t want the WHOLE config.js…
(also, there are private things in there, api keys, maybe passwords, … )so we want as small as possible focused on A module usually
