Joke API doesn't show up at all? No errors
-
I followed the readme and inserted into the config as:
/* Magic Mirror Config Sample * * By Michael Teeuw https://michaelteeuw.nl * MIT Licensed. * * For more information on how you can configure this file * See https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror#configuration * */ var config = { address: "localhost", // Address to listen on, can be: // - "localhost", "127.0.0.1", "::1" to listen on loopback interface // - another specific IPv4/6 to listen on a specific interface // - "0.0.0.0", "::" to listen on any interface // Default, when address config is left out or empty, is "localhost" port: 8080, basePath: "/", // The URL path where MagicMirror is hosted. (less some api/location stuff for other modules)
I placed the joke api master in the module folder, next to the default one. I honestly have no idea what I could have done wrong. I’ve restarted multiple times. -
@releasefootball can u look in the developers window, ctrl-shift-i on the keyboard, and select the console tab and scroll up to see any errors
-
@releasefootball said in Joke API doesn't show up at all? No errors:
MMM-JokeAPI
Not sure what’s going on there… I tried the url and it’s working… try using double quotes like this:
category: "any"
-
@cowboysdude ah he has ‘Any’, with capital A
-
@sdetweil Still don’t think that’s his problem. I think he has a conflict OR he copied the config from the repository and his quotes are not right. You know how that works.
-
@cowboysdude quotes are quotes unless u get the document kind that cause parse errors…
