Has anybody tried to also place light behind the mirror, something like this, or will the light ‘bleed’ into the rest of the mirror?
I want to place a screen of course, but it would great to also be able to integrate the light itself, without “breaking” the surface. -
How much is shipping to Norway?

A dazzling of light in other regions is excluded. If necessary, close the light gap with electrical tape from the back, then definitely nothing goes wrong :)

That sounds great, I’ll try and construct something then in alu rail, and close it off with electrical tape. I just found out that the cheap old monitor I found and have split to bits will make the mirror fog-free, as it get’s quite hot :-)

C’mon guys, we need 8 more people :)
-
I need a mirror bigger than 110cm x 80cm … Is there another shipping method? I’m from italy.
-
unfortunately not, because a freight forwarder would explode the costs. if you want to organize a shipment by forwarding by yourself, that would of course be possible
-
Some weeks ago discovered MagicMirror and today I got a 27’’ screen from my work which DP doesn’t work (but its HDMI works perfect), so I wanted to assemble my MagicMirror.
Is still too early to know how bit the glass must be, or if I need something else, I don’t even know if I need/want a camera or IR sensors… Once I get informed, I will put my data here! -
Hi people,
I still have a mirror with the dimensions 0.8 x 0.5 m and polished edges from the last order left, because the user has not paid. The mirror is already packed and could therefore be sent immediately :)
the amount is 165,40 €
Which consists of the following costs:
• Mirror price: 142,00 €
• Polished edges: 23,40 €- Shipping costs
please let me know if anyone is interested :)

How is this glass compare to the Pilkington MirroView glass?
https://www.pilkington.com/en/us/products/product-categories/special-applications/pilkington-mirroview
Looking into building a mirror but have not yet decided on dimensions. Can the order only have maximum of
width: 80cm
height: 110cm
? -
I compared them in my very first thread :) you can have a look at this old Thread ;)
Yes exactly, that is the Maximum size for shipping
-
@Goldjunge_Chriz Do you have a link to where you discuss this?
-
-
@Goldjunge_Chriz Hi Chriz,
I see this community order still accepts orders?
I’m interested, only one thing remains to have me convinced. You’ve shown the very good comparison picture in your first thread

Which one is the one you’re selling and can you let me know if any one of these is a Pilkington Mirropane ChromeSpy?
I’m asking because I don’t like the colour touch and darkness of mine. If I see an advantage of yours in direct comparison, I’m ordering right away :-)
Thanks!
-
the first mirror from the left is my product, the 5th is the ChromeSpy :)
the glass in the middle is a normal mirror, for better comparability
-
OK, I’ll go for one:
