i’ve tried youtube in a browser and in smartwebdisplay on the mirror and the playback is bad,a real jumpy/stuttering video, the audio is fine though,i’m using a pi 2b,is there any fix for this or is the hardware not up to it?

@mrdenmark The hardware isn’t really made for it (especially when using web playback, HTML5, flash etc.)
what resolution are you watching the clips in?

You’re asking a 35 dollar computer to give you quality video/audio playback. Not build for that.

wasn’t asking anything of the sort, just whether anyone else had managed to get it playing smoothly, another pi i have runs movies on kodi no problem or when i open a youtube stream in vlc player, again its fine so the pi itself is up to it,just not when in a browser,

@mrdenmark I think it depends… it’s also running an operating system, node js and electron… so the pi is pretty bogged down… Kodi, not sure what runs that but it probably isn’t asking as much :)

True, I just thought that since there were several YouTube modules and I assume most people are using a pi that perhaps there were some settings I needed to tweak .
