Hi, there is a new Alexa Module
-
@techcoderun perfect :slightly_smiling_face:
-
@BD0G open the developers window, ctrl-shift-i, select the console tab, and see if there are any errors
-
@sdetweil Still have not been able to open the Dev Console using Ctrl- Shift -i. :(
-
@techcoderun you just bought a new Dot and the mirror was detected?
-
@Fozi Yes, literally just the new dot. But I had literally had the first Alexa that came out a few years ago, so it might of had some issues.
-
@techcoderun That’s interesting. I am somewhat buffeled because even with the a the mirror isn’t detected.
-
@Fozi Agreed, no clue what fixed the problem. I tried @Stoffbeuteluwe’s config file with the old Alexa, no luck. I received my Dot a few hours later, plugged it in, and voilà, “I’ve discovered 18 new devices.” My guess is maybe some outdated WiFi related hardware on the 1st Gen Alexa?
-
@techcoderun As the cyberweek on Amazon comes closer and I need another Dot anyways, I‘m curious if I’ lol succeed, too.
-
@techcoderun
Suddenly my MM got detected on with my old Echo Dot Gen. 1 and without the installation of the other modules. I can‘t say why. Alexas feedback after scanning for new devices was misleading, too. She answers that no new devices were detected, but I found four new devices in the device list. Anyways, it seems to work and now I‘m thinking about a fitting use case for my needs. -
Hmm, Perhaps I need to revisit this module?
