[MMM-NewsFeedTicker] scroll from left to right only?
-
@Cr4z33 the module is still requesting to load the css directly, right? with the right name
getStyles: function() { return ["MMM-NewsFeedTicker.css"]; },
one more thing, my module is running all default values, cause i changed the name of the default newsfeed module to this one… but did NOT set any config values…
{ module: "MMM-NewsFeedTicker", position: "bottom_bar", config: { feeds: [ { title: "New York Times", url: "http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/HomePage.xml" } ], showSourceTitle: true, showPublishDate: true, broadcastNewsFeeds: true, broadcastNewsUpdates: true } },

@sdetweil I tried using your defaults as well by getting the issue again.
At this point could Debian 10 running (natively of course) on an Intel NUC be the problem?
-
@Cr4z33 I’m doing this on Intel.
rename your MMM-NewsFeedTicker folder out of the way and clone my fork

@sdetweil cheers going to do it as soon as I am done with reinstalling Debian (stupid issue with USB mics not detected anymore…)! 👍🏽
I will reply here.
-
@sdetweil I’ve installed your fork and… it’s going back and forth too! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
Here’s my module config just in case:
{ module: "MMM-NewsFeedTicker", disabled: false, position: "bottom_bar", //classes: "day_scheduler", config: { feeds: [ { title: "Cambio Euro/Dollaro", url: "https://eur.fxexchangerate.com/usd.xml", customLogo: "xe.png" }, { title: "Agenzia ANSA - Ultima Ora", url: "https://www.ansa.it/sito/notizie/topnews/topnews_rss.xml", customLogo: "ansa.jpg" }, { title: "La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno - Lecce", url: "https://www.lagazzettadelmezzogiorno.it/rss.jsp?sezione=113", customLogo: "gdm.jpg" }, { title: "Hardware Upgrade", url: "https://feeds.hwupgrade.it/rss_hwup.xml", customLogo: "hwu.png" }, { title: "HDblog.it", url: "http://feeds.feedburner.com/hd-blog?format=xml", customLogo: "hdblog.png" }, { title: "Tom's Hardware", url: "https://www.tomshw.it/feed/", customLogo: "tomshw.png" }, { title: "Punto Informatico", url: "https://www.punto-informatico.it/feed/", customLogo: "pi.png" }, { title: "LeccePrima", url: "http://www.lecceprima.it/rss/", customLogo: "lecceprima.png" }, { title: "Galatina.it", url: "http://www.galatina.it/rss.xml", customLogo: "galatina.png" } ] } },

@Cr4z33 so, u have some custom class somewhere.
-
@sdetweil OK where should I look at please ? 😅
-
@Cr4z33 no… idea… I would reinstall MM (use my script), just rename the old MM folder to something else,
then install my module version to verifythen u can start looking around… i installed from scratch like that to test before I sent to you, and others have confirmed it works for them too.
-
@sdetweil okie dokie I am going to reinstall both Debian and MM too in the next days because of other issues.
I will reply here thanks.

Confirmed works with Debian dev desktop
