      Hi!

After building a raspberry for my 3d printer, i was looking for other pi uses. Then i came acros this beauty!
So i got another pi (4b) and started installing the magic mirror (with a lot of forum reading and copy/pasting/adjusting)
then started collecting materials. I asked if she wanted a square or a rectangle mirror… “a round one!”.

Bent and welded the outer frame, ordered a round 4mm glass, adhesive and some mirror foil.
Power adaptor, power splitter and after about 2 weeks the mirror was hanging!
The screen is a 24" monitor i had laying around. it is mounted with two corner brackets in the top left and right of the screen

updating after holiday was a bit challenging, after fixing the bootloop, the microSD had insufficient storage.
so extracted the config.js and reinstalled everything on a 32GB SD and it works again

Thanks sdetweil for the install scripts
      Thanks Michael for the MagicMirror

Wow, this is a nice MM!
I have created a bathroom MM (https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/18406/bathroom-mirror/2?_=1705489145468) but something like this for the hallway or kitchen would be awesome. Thanks for the ideas!

            Regards,
            Stephan

@Barrel91 Wow, I never thought about using an IEC plug for powering your mirror if you don’t have a power outlet right behind it. That’s genius and so convenient!
Also, what is that Netgear device?

@ferby09 and the powercable is white so it is less obvious running down the wall. The netgear is a mobile router for a network connection to the pi wich i used for testing some modules
