Ich möchte mich auch zu diesem Sachverhalt melden. Bei mir wurde die Lieferung zwar auch verschoben, aber da der Spiegel sowieso im Garten abgelegt wurde, hat mich das nicht gestört. Ich finde, dass es zwar blöd ist, wenn man sich umsonst frei nimmt oder jemand zum Entgegen-nehmen beschafft, jedoch darf man nicht vergessen, dass hier alles privat und aus Solidarität von Chris’ Seite geschieht und das dies nicht diese tolle Aktion zunichte machen sollte. Ich denke auch nicht, dass jemand den Spiegel dringend benötigt hat. Ich bspw. werde wohl noch ein paar Monate brauchen, bis meiner verbaut ist, weil ich noch vor dem Umzug stehe. :D

@kai As they are taking their time to update the module, you may do it manually.
Just edit the file

modules/MMM-PublicTransportBerlin/node_modules/hafas-client/p/bvg/base.json

in your MagicMirror directory and apply these changes:

Red lines are original lines in the file that have to be deleted and green lines are the new lines.
That’s all.

When you update the module in the future you may need to do

git stash

before doing the update.

@Barrel91 Wow, I never thought about using an IEC plug for powering your mirror if you don’t have a power outlet right behind it. That’s genius and so convenient!
Also, what is that Netgear device?

@MilkShake I’m having the same problem. But for me it’s more like a day until it stops working. I’ve also read something about memory buildup. Maybe we can compare our modules and find a similarity?
I’ve been restarting the MM software via cronjob every few hours for now and that works for me at least.

But a friend helped me doing a quick and dirty frontend workaround with XHR and css.

I’m looking for a module template to display the response for a specific API call.
I’ve got a Petcare SureFlap and already set up a REST API for it.

I’m only trying to display the current location of my cat on the mirror. The look should be similar to MMM-FHEM.

The request url looks like that:

http://192.168.178.xxx:3001/households/xxxxxx/pets/xxxxxx/location

So I’ll need the following config variables:
host
port
householdID
petID
updateInterval
Name of the pet as title because it isn’t included in this specific call

The response looks like this:

{"location":"Inside","pet_id":xxxxxx}

The final module should display the pet’s name as title and the current location (preferrably with German translation) underneath it.

I hope that someone can point me in the right direction. I’ve already tried editing the existing MMM-FHEM because it looks just like what I want but I’m struggling with the extraction of values from the call.

Yes, the CN201 supplies the power for the whole LCD. It only has 40V DC, but I’m still careful. ;)
The two black cables are 40V and the white ones are ground.
As I stated before the same happens when I just pull it: the screen turns black and won’t come on again when I put it back in.

The motion sensor seems to be digital but I already tried to replace it without success. The connector C501 in the second picture of my last post is the connection between the control buttons including the motion sensor and the mainboard.
It seems that the first wire labeled as “+3.3V_M” is the power for the motion sensor but I couldn’t get it to work nevertheless. Also, the signal is processed by the main board I guess and as the minimum delay is 5 minutes, this isn’t an option for me anyways.

It seems like I have to live with seeing the OSD sometimes until I decide to swap out the monitor but that won’t happen in the near future.

Anyways, thank you very much for your replies and your time.

If anybody else has an idea or a solution, I’m still happy to try it out.

The PIR feature of the monitor seems cool but the magic fades when you realize that it only works in landscape mode, not through glass (obviously) and the minimum delay is 5 minutes. And as the gyro sensor is built in the mainboard somewhere, I had to turn the whole board and make every wire longer to be able to use it for my mirror. If you plan on building a 27" MagicMirror in landscape orientation and can leave a hole in the frame for the sensor, it is indeed a fancy feature.

Here are some pictures of the rest of my monitor. I already fiddled around with it, so the yellow wires are not original.
I also tried to substitute the PIR sensor with a microwave sensor without any luck.
It wouldn’t suit my case anyways as the minimum delay in Samsungs software is 5 minutes for the sensor. That’s way too much for my taste, especially when it gets triggered more easily by the microwave sensor.

In the fourth picture of my first post I can see some points labeled as BLVCLKN1, BLVCLKF1 and so on. Maybe one of those is related to the backlight feature?

I’m having the same problem atm.
I’m using a Samsung Syncmaster S27A650D, because initially I wanted to make use of the integrated PIR sensor as it seems to do exactly what I want - power off the backlight and power on without any OSD message. After the first problem that the sensor only works in landscape mode and the problem that PIR doesn’t work through glass, I’ve just used vcgencmd and a microwave sensor since.
Now I looked into it as I have some spare monitors of the same model laying around.

Just as in @asd case the backlight won’t come on again after simply plugging the power cable. But I discovered the controller board under some tape and I think that one of those pins will simply trigger the event of the build in PIR sensor so I can connect it to a relais and trigger it with the PIR module.

Anyways, here are the pictures of my controller board. Hopefully anybody can give me a hint.
