Does anyone know what’s going on with MMM-OpenWeatherForecast
all I’m getting is its loading
even on my virtual mirror it’s doing exactly the same thing
I tried different coordinates and it is doing the seem thing
I went to the website and everything checks out just fine my app key is still intact and I can see the current weather on their weather map
so I am at a loss on what’s going on here

The api call daily threshold for billing is 1,000. The default setting is to update every 10 minutes and that equals to 144 daily calls.

@Ray I have the same issue right after I did the upgrade. I came here to check and the first post I see describes the exact issue I have.

@froboz @Ray and you both opened new 3.0 apikeys, right? its required

@froboz @Ray make sure you have the following parameter in your config:

apiBaseURL: “https://api.openweathermap.org/data/3.0/onecall?”

and get a V3 API key from https://openweathermap.org/

@MarcLandis I haven’t done any updates on my two mirrors for several years now because they’ve been working just fine
so I’m pretty sure I do not have version 3

Are V3 APIs paid-only?

it won’t work unless I pay for?

@Ray @ForestQ openweather has gone to a new model.

they count the number of api requests. with a certain number not charged. today they allow 1000 calls per day before charging .

BUT , you must supply the card they will charge against to make any calls.

@sdetweil well how nice is that all these years it was free now you have to pay for

@sdetweil I also updated the configuration to version 3.0
and then got a new app key when I got the new app key it didn’t work
I only have two apt keys and I created a new one
