      Hello everyone,
I’m just taking my first steps with MagicMirror and modules.
Unfortunately, I have a problem with the module.
The module is loaded in Magic Mirror, but unfortunately the weather is not. It simply says under Forecast: Loading or resp. Laden in German
I have tried several API keys. I have entered my place of residence, the location id, I have even tried the original configuration from the example with Phoenix, USA. But no weather is loaded.
I have also changed the apiVersion to 3.0, but then the module does not load when I specify the apiVersion parameter.
      Does anyone have an idea?

      Thanks for the help

@chris1971 because this module is written for the older 2.5 api, it will take some changes to make it work.

I might suggest another module to use instead

open the 3rd party module list linked above in the menu
and put openweather in the search field.

@Doppellhelix the module hasn’t been updated in 3 years . it is still using the old soiverdion.

Openweather changed their business model this year

all new api calls require a new apikey, backed by a credit card. they give 1000 calls per day uncharged.

then the code needs to be changed or new parameters need to be supplied

          this module supposedly has parameters

you need to set apiVersion to 3.0 and endpoint to onecall

Many thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, openweather seems to be a bit overloaded at the moment.
            I will stay tuned :-)

Maybe they have already switched off version 2.5. Weekend … ??

Excerpt from an email from Open weather:
”We would like to inform you that we started One Call 2.5 deprecation, and your access to the product will be stopped on November 4, 2024. We would like to inform you that we started One Call 2.5 deprecation, and your access to the product will be stopped on November 4, 2024."

@sdetweil Do you have a description what to do to run MMM-OpenmapWeather in future? I am not an expert in working with the modules and was happy to have a running system… ;-)
                      Thanks, Chris
