Final Step of Installing MagicMirror (EXTREME NOOB)
-
Hello,
I followed the step-by-step instructions very closely (at least I thought), but I’m running into a problem at the very last step. I’m not familiar with working in the terminal, so I don’t really know what’s wrong even though I’m sure it’s a simple fix. The error code is below and the debug file is below that. Any help would be appreciated.//pi@raspberrypihall1458:~ $ cd MagicMirror/config pi@raspberrypihall1458:~/MagicMirror/config $ cp config.js.sample config.js pi@raspberrypihall1458:~/MagicMirror/config $ cd $HOME/MagicMirror pi@raspberrypihall1458:~/MagicMirror $ npm start > magicmirror@2.1.2 start /home/pi/MagicMirror > sh run-start.sh run-start.sh: 4: run-start.sh: electron: not found npm ERR! @hall1458 did you install the dependencies with
npm install? -
No I don’t think so, and that must be my issue. I don’t see this in the complete setup instructions though. Where would I install the dependencies? Again, I’m very new to this so I’m probably missing it. Thanks for the help.

@hall1458
cd ~/MagicMirrorthennpm install
