Hi Guys,
i have also running a pi hole in my network and i figured out that the magic mirror do so much requests to github. The pi hole records during 24h round about 2750 request against github from the magic mirror as source.
In my opinion, i think that is too much and also stressed my home network.
It is possible to configure the interval for these requests?best regards André

In the updatenotification module in the default module directory change this ->
updateInterval: 10 * 60 * 1000,to something more suitable then every 10 minutes…

Hi,
this does not solve the problem unfortunately. I´ve set the updateInterval up to 6000000 but I still have ~10 requests every 10 minutes to the github. (after restart)Every other suggestion are welcome :)

As I know, MMM-Remote-Control is using github request. Are you using that module? -

Then again yes you will have to check ALL your modules and see what their update timers are set to.
