@Sean i mean i want to set default question and answers with voice response (using google TTS. I dont know how to command to create . :(
-
@t-architecture99
By default, If the response could be handled by Assistant itself, it can response with voice. (e.g : “How’s the weather today?” - “It’s rainy blah blah…”)
So what is yourdefault question?
hmmm… It’s better to tell me “YOUR REAL INTENTION or SCENARIO” - what you want.In case that you need some extended response from MM & modules
By example,- if you want to get a response “Yes, sir!” when you order “Shut down now” (by your custom command),
- Use
custom action
insteadtranscriptionHook
on making a command.custom action
can handle a simple static voice response.(around 150 words)
- Use
- But more complex dynamic conversation like - “Read me first article of news module” then “New york times said blah blah…”
- You should modify news module to speak somethings, and at that time TTS solution be needed.
- And the role of
AMK2
is just sending “Read first article” order tonews
module. That is the way how it works.
- if you want to get a response “Yes, sir!” when you order “Shut down now” (by your custom command),

@EstoyMejor
Your electron-rebuild was failed on installation.
If your gcc version is 8, downgrade to 7 and reinstall again. -
hello Guy, i would like to ask you about mmm GAction Register ,i have to do that when i installed MMM assistantmk2 does i need to do it again or skip to step scp ~/Downloads/client_secret_client-id.json pi@raspberry-pi-ip-address:/home/pi/
-
@witty11
Hmmm…? I don’t think you need that step. Where did you read that step is needed? Are you following https://github.com/eouia/MMM-AssistantMk2/wiki/gAction? -
Hi all
I would like to activate one of the GPIO pins the moment Hotword/Assistant listen and/or speaks. The idea is to switch a relay to lit up two LED strips at the back of the mirror. It should be easy using the recipes but my knowledge is very limited when it comes to this. Any one out there that has done it or can point me in the right direction
Thanks -
@Zoltan
Have you already some external program or script to turn on/off LED strips? -
@Sean
Hi Sean
I only have ideas that i have seen on other sites where Google home has been installed on a Raspberry. There is a file In the link below at Step 7 that one might used as an idea on how to manage it. Not sure if i am allowed to post links to other sites other than Github and this forum?https://medium.com/@kevalpatel2106/turn-your-raspberry-pi-into-homemade-google-home-9e29ad220075
And then there is also in the middle of the following page a way of doing it with a heading
“Bonus: Voice Activated GPIO”https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/diy-google-home-assistant-raspberry-pi/
My slate is clean other than this :-(

@Zoltan
To say clear, the job of MMM-AssistantMk2 is understanding your vocal phrase. Turning on/off GPIO thing is others job. If you have or find program/script/command or module which can turn on/off GPIO, MMM-ASSITANTMK2 can translate your vocal phrase to execution trigger for them. So you’d better find one at first.
