@bdream there is a browser installed… its that globe on the task bar… Chrome also is a nice browser
i wonder if this is a Raspian Buster problem…
I have a pi 0 w coming today.
you and another user are having the same trouble. both have armv6l devices and are using Buster.
-
I see some debug for the current problem
do
cd ~/MagicMirror export ELECTRON_ENABLE_LOGGING=true export ELECTRON_ENABLE_STACK_DUMPING=true ~/MagicMirror/node_modules/electron/dist/electronthanks

But I installed the armv7l
@sdetweil said in YAPi0 Installer Stretch Lite:
npm install --arch=armv7l electron@latest

Yes, there is the globe…
…and it success. localhost:8080 directs to MagicMirror² within all the standard modules :smiling_face:Anyway I do the debucg stuff:
:backhand_index_pointing_up_light_skin_tone: um.
I had to ctrl-c the action (on ssh console) while the browser (on the pi itself) already run MagicMirrorpi@RasPiZeroW:~/MagicMirror $ node serveronly Starting MagicMirror: v2.9.0 Loading config ... just reboot and again storage acess error. If I’m right, I can config the system running with standard browser.
Can you tell me what exactly I need to do therefor?
…and MagicMirror² run in this browser (It’s the Chromium) but not screenfilling. And, would it make sense deinstalling Electron then? How? :face_screaming_in_fear:
Ohh, no. It sais localhost declined access :( why that is was running before?
Any about this configurations?export ELECTRON_ENABLE_LOGGING=true export ELECTRON_ENABLE_STACK_DUMPING=true -
@bdream no reason to uninstall electron…
to start mm using server only and then chrome
edit ~/MagicMirror/run-start.sh
comment out
#electron js/electron.js $1then add
# this starts the server in the background node serveronly & # waits 10 seconds -- you may need to increase this time sleep 10 #you should test this from a command prompt window chromium-browser -kiosk -start_maximized http://localhost:8080then pm2 start MagicMirror will launch this file.

@bdream very hard!!!.. bug in electron I THINK with glibc on buster…
i think if you went back to raspian stretch it would have worked with electron
I will test that when my pi 0 gets here -
@sdetweil many, many thanks to you Sam!
To recab,
I need your script, not any Updates and Upgrades of raspbian System, and the last Chat entries? Can I run it on Rpi1 also?
And you woumd prefer Streich instead of Buster?
-
@bdream excuse my typos!

Can I run it on Rpi1 also?yes, any pi version, plus odroid, jetson nano, ubuntu, macOS, Sierra-Catalina (all i have tested on)
And you would prefer Streich instead of Buster?
the bug is caused by a newer version of glibc (2.28), and buster has that, while stretch has 2.27
so, i think (will test myself later), with stretch, you would not need to use chrome browser -
Great Sam!
I have next week some time and will try with Pi0 and Pi1 both ways:- Buster and additions
- Strech
let you know results.
For now I will close this threat as solved

You got your Pi0W :clapping_hands: have fun with this little thing
…so no need to get strech installed instead of buster?
