Currently I have two Magic Mirrors on my raspberry pi (one in desktop). My main mirror is not on GitHub. The other one was forked from the main project. My issue is that when I do npm install && npm start or just npm start from the second one’s directory, it only shows my first mirror. Does anyone know why this happens? Is there such thing as npm uninstall or npm stop ?

As an amateur, there are a couple things that I just don’t understand about git. I’ve decided to clone my fork of the project to the desktop on my pi, so that I will have another version of my MagicMirror on GitHub. However every time I make a change, it doesn’t show up in git status. When I do git push it asks for my username and password, but still does not work. Is there a way to log on to my account from the command prompt so I can complete these actions?

I’ve used this: http://www.helbig.be/images/pages/Blog/Producten/01.JPG mount one on your mirror, one on the wall. It divides the weight evenly over every anchor point and you can use more than two screws to hang your mirror on. (can be usefull if your mirror is heavy and the material of your wall can’t support too much weight)

I guess I didn’t check carefully enough. It always seems to be the same compliment that skips, though. Oh, well.

Hi, Pretty much all of my software is done, but when I start it up, it goes straight to desktop for a few seconds and then finally goes to the magic mirror. Is it normal for the whole setup to take about 90 sec (1.5 min) or is it just me?

@lucallmon Hi, yes i’ve got everything working just fine now. As a matter of fact I haven’t got anything on GitHub just yet. Primarily because I haven’t gotten around to it yet. i want it to be a bit more “finished” before I do so. Furthermore, it’s more than just the one project. You’ve also got the debug hub, the adapted java client, the code on the amazon server, the custom skills, dynamodb table etc. It’s not a “next, next, finish” type of thing… But if you follow the steps on my blog closely you will come a long way. If you want to have a specific piece of code or something, just drop me a line, and i’ll send it to you. Also, currently, some of the code is broken because i’m experimenting with the camera right now. I’ll be posting some updates on that soon.

Does anyone know where I could find a cheap two way acrylic sheet? I have been looking all over, but everything seem to be over 40 dollars. Are there any websites that carry them for more reasonable price?
