I’d just run a fan through a couple of extra holes in the frame… Easy – if you get the right voltage, you could just use the pi for powering it.

RE: Monitor for MagicMirror, 22-26 inch
I grabbed an ACER KA270H Abix - because it’s thin and has very little face plastic - so I don’t have to take it apart to use it. Ended up taking it apart anyway to see if the name badge bar is removable to make no face plastic, and it is… Pulled it off, black taped over the metal piece it hid, and have the button bar ready to move to an edge.

RE: Config error
You have to be in the MM directory, FWIW.
I have a script set up in my root directory:
cd ~/MagicMirror
npm run config:check
cd ~ -
RE: MMM-RTSPStream not showing video
I suspect you’re not addressing the video correctly.
https://www.ispyconnect.com/sources.aspx - check your camera model for full URLs.

RE: Testing MM modules
I have three MM’s running. My home and work ones, and the test MM.
That test one is regularly reinstalled down to the OS (yes, I’ve screwed things up THAT badly)

RE: MMM-PIR-Sensor brightness
that’s sounding like you monitor is going bad, honestly.
PIR-Sensor just turns on and off your monitor… The rest sounds like a failing backlight.

RE: regions...
Stacking is great, but for those of us that have landscape mode monitors, that becomes useless rather quickly. I’d rather have the modules sit next to each other.
My one mirror at home will go Portrait mode eventually, so the stacking will work… the one at work (due to a broken part) will always be landscape.

RE: regions...
I’d love to see this - I’ve got a ton of dead space on my MM because of the lack of 5 columns of info.

RE: any ideas what causes this... ?
I get that with MMM-Carousel too - the difference is that MMM-Carousel takes care of it. I’m ASSuming that MM is initializing all the modules before they get a chance to get hidden, then when it repeats later, it’s a module updating while hidden, so it reshows.

RE: noob question.
Could be something else. usually for me, a black screen appears when I forgot to run the ‘npm i’ on a module somewhere…
