  • RE: Which Voice Control module is fit for me?

    @Sean

    Hello Sean,
    I tried to install your module several times but I have problems during the installation.

    Indeed, during the installation, I always encounter the same problem at this stage of the installation of the Google SDK:
    (https://developers.google.com/assistant/sdk/guides/library/python/embed/register-device)

    Everything is fine until the step “Register the Device Model”.
    Indeed, when I use the registration tool, it does not work.
    I tried the command:

    (env) $ googlesamples-assistant-devicetool register-model --manufacturer "Assistant SDK developer" \
              --product-name "Assistant SDK light" --type LIGHT --model my-project-1505046981535-my-model1

    Each time I have the following error message:

    Error: Error loading client secret: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'client_secret_xxxxx-m88slnqk24bqul282n0nnogs10sck6qo.apps.googleusercontent.com.json'.
    Run the device tool with --client-secrets or --project-id option.
    Or copy the client_secret_xxx-xxxx.apps.googleusercontent.com.json file in the current directory.

    Could you help me with this procedure?

    Thank you in advance,

    Cordially.

  • RE: What voice related modules are available?

    @sispheor

    Hello,

    I went to see the Kalliope site. It sounds interesting.

    Regarding plug-ins working with API Google, can you tell me if there is only the translation function available (plugin translate) or if there is a plug in approaching the principle of “google home”?

    Thank you in advance,

    Regards,

  • RE: What voice related modules are available?

    Hello,

    Concerning the voice modules, I tested the modules MMM-Google-Assistant and MMM-Assistant for the “interactive” part on the internet, I never managed to make them work. I asked several questions, but apparently I must not be the only one because I did not have many answers.

    For the “non-interactive” part, I use the Jarvis solution (https://www.openjarvis.com/) coupled to the MMM-Jarvis-Voice-Control module. the result is correct and there are several interesting plugins.

    Hello,
    I am trying to install this module but I am having problems with a step of the installation of the Google Assistant SDK.

    Could someone tell me the procedure to follow?

    @gauravsacc

    Hello,
    I tried a git pull on the module MMM-Assistant but I still encounter the same problem. The voice is still jerky in English while I wish in French.
    there is a good chance that I made a mistake during the installation but I can not find where.
    Are you a beginning of track to communicate to me?
    Thank you in advance,

  • RE: Mirror turning black after a while

    Hello,
    I think it would come from one of your modules because I do not encounter the problem since I put my mirror with my usual modules. if that helps you, it happened to me when I tried to install and set up the MMM-Assistant.

    @retroflex said in Mirror turning black after a while:

    @Chris
    Did you have the same error on the old version or did it appear with the latest?

    Hello,
    it is true that this is happening since the last version.
    I did not pay much attention to this because it was during an attempt to install a module that caused me a lot of trouble. I thought it was just that.
    As I told you, it’s still very episodic, it must have been more than two days since it did not happen.

    @retroflex
    Hello,
    I also encounter this problem episodically. Magic mirror works normally but no module appears on the screen a simple ctrl + R (reload) is enough to refresh and make reappear modules.
