RE: Introduce yourself!
OH I agree!! Sounds like you are on the same road I am… @strawberry-3-141 helped me today… there is a module but I wanted it to do something a little bit different so I tried my hand at tweaking it… I was close but he showed me the error and it works now! HUGE Thanks @strawberry-3-141 by the way!!
I don’t know if you realize this and some don’t … some of the people building stuff and helping us all out don’t even have mirrors!!! THAT is utterly and mind blowing amazing!!!
The 32" will be a while Yes honestly I was really thinking laptop motherboard… quieter can get smaller power supplies to run them OR a mini ITX you can use laptop power supplies on some of them too!
So in a nutshell I’m waiting on an open source thermostat that runs the heating/cooling and is wifi AND bluetooth… then I’ll get to building the actual mirror itself… [MY parents have a 40" TV they don’t want or need soooooooooo LOL]…
Welcome and I’m glad you’re here… learning is awesome and it can be fun!
Thanks to @MichMich , @ianperrin , @strawberry-3-141 and all the other developers!!! Too many to mention!

RE: MMM-NOAA3 - user defined lat & lon values
@evroom You are reading my mind…working on it … instead of having it read a json file it would be easier to just allow users to add their own lat and lon…

RE: Please help
You can start manually [which I personally prefer] using ‘npm start’ OR you can have it start automatically when the pi boots up using pm2… either way.
Most prefer pm2 as if you have a power outage etc and the pi restarts the mirror restarts too… I just prefer the manual method well actually because I’m a dinosaur… LOL

RE: ECONNREFUSED when trying to get JSON from my server (MMM-json-feed)
Here’s an example in my node helper I use to get json
request({ url: "xxxxxxxxxxxx.json", method: 'GET', headers: { 'User-Agent': 'MagicMirror/1.0 (' + this.config.email + ')' }

RE: grafana module for bar graphs display.
Well that’s how it goes sometimes. People create modules that they give away for free so they can’t possibly give free support forever. They get busy in life and they move on…
You can either go to the Github repository where the module is and ask questions or post issues
or
You can do a ‘fork’ and maintain and/or improve it.
I don’t think asking someone else to do it is going to get you any results. Not trying to be rude here but this is a project where the user is supposed to take an active part in and learn…
Now if you try this and run into an issue I’m sure one of us would be glad to help you -
RE: RSS News Feeds (Viewing Content)
Both have great points!!!
I would like to be able to it as well. My problem is a bit different. When I get up to get ready it would be nice while standing there to be able to read it… you know see a headline and then click on it to open it up if I am so inclined

RE: Updating MM on a PC?
try:
git pull origin master
If you’re still having problems do this:
sudo apt-get install git-all
Then retry ‘git pull’…
