@mumblebaj I’m trying to do something similar, but can’t quite get it to work.

I’ve got the module running in the centre bottom, and want to run it vertically rather than horizontally (so it’s more a block than a footer).
It’s almost there, except I can’t get the title to look right. Sometimes it’s OK (goes horizontally in a single line) but other times I get the text either going one word per line stacked vertically, or a block of the first few words like that and then the rest below in a correctly oriented line.

Is there anything I can adjust to make it work better and look right (all the title text going horizontally, line wrapped if it’s too long to fit)?

My config currently looks like this:

@KristjanESPERANTO - Yes, I just saw that when I did the git pull.

As I said, I wanted to flag it though as the recommended route for updates is that script, which would appear not to be working correctly otherwise.

Was more curious about why that would be saying I’m up to date if there is a commit. If there is a version-up missing or something.

My mirror is running v2.22.0 but is showing that there is an update available (1 commit behind master).

I tried the updater script and it says I’m up-to-date, and restarting the mirror (either by PM2 restart or a reboot) does not clear the update message.

Has there been an update commit which maybe hasn’t bumped the version number or something?

Everything’s still running fine, the update available message is just a bit unsightly though ;)

@SILLEN-0 Would you be able to dismantle it (carefully) enough to get rear access to the button?

I was thinking either to be able to remove and relocate it perhaps, or to solder a switch or other solution in parallel to the existing one to put that somewhere accessible?

Just to come back and close on this - I’ve now tested from Germany with and without a VPN (VPN end point is in the UK), using exactly the same URL and conditions (open in a browser under the VPN, disconnect the VPN and refresh the browser tab).

So I confirm that it is NewsAPI screwing around with the feed to UK IP addresses, so unfortunately nothing that can be done nor anything wrong with MagicMirror or its modules.

Probably best to mark this as solved, albeit basically crippled for UK users.
