I use your MMM-Remote Control. Thank you for this verry good Modul.

But I have a litlle question. Maybe some other will ask themselves too. In a single flat whit only one Person it wouldn’t a problem, but in a House/Flat whit more then one Person (wife/Children…) I thing it could maybe a problem that everybody can call the remote Page. And so I ask myself Is it possible and is it many work to code a PIN question before you can Open the page or clicking something?

@strawberry-3-141 Hi, sorry, but no :-) What Happyend at my First try. Then I try what @Nonamexp post and then I Try your installer again… there are the same problem.

But just in this moment durring I write this, I think you wasn`t wrong. I remember I have tested some days ago Alexander and Steven Hicksons Suite. And there I have to install it.

I will test, what you write today evening and will post an answer.

At present I try to install the MMM-voice module. I have everything done like it is written in the readme file on Github. Everthing is fine till step3 (installing Pocketsphinx. There is this error: In a second try I try what @Nonamexp say (…I’ve tried the command ‘sudo chmod 777 /opt /home/pi/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-voice’ and than ‘bash dependencies.sh’ and it works!) BUT that didn’t work by me. Can someone explain me what happend and what I could do?

@Mitchfarino Thank your for your answer. I have tested Alexa some days ago after I posted und Generall Discussion in this forum. There was the question should I use Alexa or Stevens hicksons suite an google. After a try for google and a not working Suite I tested Alexa because I readed about that you haven´t to use a button to use alexa from now on. But Alexa only understand englich at the moment (Thats I found in the www and if I asked “she”. She told me that, too) I´m not sure, if that the right thing for my mirror. Because there was some other family member who like to use it. My sons and my wife. (I know if I use snowword Hotword, I havve to create for everyone a pmdl file)

today I´m thinking about a new problem/Idea.
Maybe someone have the same idea or like a same module.

I use on my mirror the simple Music Player module by @EoF conected to a smb folder on my NAS to play music. Whit many help of @Jopyth i can use it now also whit voice controll.

Now I think about a module like the Simple Music Player but not to play Mp3 files. I like to copy some online radio station link from local station to play radio. I thinking about a Player which shows you at the mirror a list of one,two or however radio stations you have linked in your module and then you can say Station one or Station two. or something else. I hope you understand my thinking.

In thinking about this I like to try it myself. Because my codeing experiens is very bad. (only some basicly experience in scool ten years ago, I have to use try and error. Now I think maybe I can modify a new instance of the music player module, to play radio station link and not mp3. But my problem was the voice control. At the present I can say play stop and song back/Song forward. But then i like to say not only play and next station/last station. I like to say Play station one or play station two. Is there any other module which I can look for an example?

Sorry becaue I´m writting so many.but I hope you could understand my idea.

Hi, a little question, I read about the tvservice and that you will be to chance the console at wake up, before you can use your option. So Yesterday I found this you can use vcgencmd display_power 0 / vcgencmd display_power 1 for power down your hdmi port. And it schould be faster and you havent to chanche your console at wake up. I don´t know enough, but could it be a better option for slleping an wake up?

there are several modules, which play music. For Example an simple Music Player till a Last FM Scrobbler. You only have to take a look for a autostart function. Here at my mirror for example I used Simple Music Player by @EoF which is connected to a Samba folder on my NAS for source.

@deadherring Did I correct understand your post? My posted code didn´t work? I take it yeasterday,too And it work fine. I used a Raspi 3 whit Jessi and Pixeld Desktop, too. Now that iteressing to find out, for me, why works it correctly here and at your mirror not. :-)

maybe someone can help me… :-)

So far the musiccontroll works fine. Now I spent my time for a new project. I Copy the code from @tyho and save it as notification.js and node_helper.js. The I copy the code into my config file like he posted. Th two files I coppied into an new folder called notification, that I took under Modules. Then I train two Hotword for wake up and go sleeping an copy and paste the two pmdl files correctly. The Mirror stats fine and everything is working But the two Hotwords didn’t take their job.
