Can’t you do this using the calendar or news module?

I had a quick search at local events in my area and found two different websites in my local area with key events.

One website you could export all the events into a your own google calendar or ical. you could then tailor these to show up in a different colour or start with a different heading?

The other website had their events under and RS feed and you could show the RSS feed up on the news module?

Do you have something like that for your area?

The module doesn’t show up at all, looks like it doesn’t load the module. I’ll post config file when I get home tonight or tomorrow. Module doesn’t load even with standard commute config part.
Not sure if it has something to do with my other modules (remote module maybe)

Do you need to do anything special with the google api key?
I can’t get this module to show up on my MM. Doesn’t look like it is picking any info up through the API key.

Currently the MMM-Todoist module does not remove tasks from Todoist once you complete them on the app. Only if you add another task will it remove the completed task. Is anybody able to take a look at the code and work out if this can be rectified?

Ah ye, that’s pretty good for showing all possibilities.
Although I was thinking a video that would loop and show as if it was the actual mirror (running instead of MM). So showing the modules, and a few messages changing, Sonos songs changing. And then a few modules showing and hiding themselves on loop?

I was wondering if anyone has made a sample video to play on the mirror to showcase what it can do?
Or is there a way to record what your mirror is showing and then play that back on loop?

I like the idea that it can be finished but you can always update or tweak the software/appearance stuff remotely.

For a while I’ve wanted to make my own mirror and decided to integrate it into a hallway notice board next to the front door.
One of my aims was to try and keep the frame quite low profile, I re-purposed my old Sony Vaio laptop LCD. Set about designing and making the frame.

I decided to make the frame out of Oak.

The software side of things was nice and simple, good to learn some programming along the way to personalise. Just running a few modules at the moment. Will add some more on a timed schedule.
I like the MMM-Todoist Module, I use that to send my mirror messages from wherever I am as reminders.

Here is the finished Mirror
On the left the is the mirror. I made this myself with glass and mirror vinyl. on the right is a matt grey vinyl on glass with a metal sheet behind for use with the wooden magnets I made to match the frame. I can use liquid chalk markers for notes on the glass.

Overusing the masking tape a little.

Next job is to hang it on the wall and hide the wires powering the mirror.

I like this idea. I have 2 different routes to work. Would be good know which way would be best at that time.
Can you modify the config to either use motorways or avoid motorways? or another way you can specify the actual route to work?

I think I found the problem to be a dodgy hdmi cable. I bought a new short hdmi cable so it would be easier to fit behind the mirror. Replaced with my original longer cable and seems to be ok. I will also try npm start dev to see if I get any errors.

All my modules are hidden and I get a blank screen when MagicMirror loads up.
Was working fine a while ago. Changed to sample config at it does the same thing.
Any ideas?
