    • RE: First start from the mirror does not work

Ok, I finally had time last night to run through a complete setup and install, from taking the rpi out of its box to having MM up and running. I did not have to manually install any of the aforementioned packages. Which makes me wonder, @EoF, were you running the full Jessie distribution, or Jessie-Lite? If it’s Jessie-Lite, you would’ve had to install a lot more than just those few pieces as it does not come with an X-server.

Anyway, I’ll have a step-by-step tutorial written up soon …hmm, let’s check calendar … oh yeah, some time in 2036.

    • RE: sudo npm start - Does nothing on a Pi Zero

Thanks, but I’ll wait till my US vendor has them. $5 plus free shipping beats getting it from the UK.

    • $9 C.H.I.P.

I received my $9 C.H.I.P. computer today, with the HDMI module that I added to the Kickstarter campaign. So naturally, I wanted to see if it would run MM. Being that it runs Debian, I figured why not.

      The positives:
      Hardware is ARM7l …
      Installing node v6+: no problem.
Installing the necessary node modules: no problem
      Installing electron: no issues

The negative: Electron won’t run. It’s saying it’s missing one of the prebuilt files. I need to figure out what that is and why. But, it DOES run as a server only setup. I can load it up just fine through a browser. This is actually kinda fun for a tiny little thing. And I do mean tiny, it’s smaller than a Raspberry Pi.

    • RE: Where to buy good two way mirrors ?

If the room itself is dark, there is nothing to reflect off of the screen, you will (only) see the monitor behind it.

    • RE: Microsoft Health

@ascension, I moved your request to the modules request section so other module developers will see it.

    • RE: TV always ON

Yeah, stuff like that is rather unique to the application, so the chances of finding exactly what you need are small. That’s why I suggested also finding a manufacturer’s forum and ask there. I’ve been looking for a repair guide for my flat screen so I can fix the remote control circuit … no such luck. You’d think with a brand like LG it should be easy.

Sorry, I don’t. Someone else here might, or you might have to hit Google or manufacturer’s support forums to ask.

    • RE: Can't Get config.js

The config.js file lives inside of the MagicMirror folder. Look in ~MagicMirror/config/ for a file named 'config.js.sample' and rename that to 'config.js'. Load up your mirror. Once that’s working, you can start customizing it.

    • RE: TV always ON

That’s a feature of your TV, not the rpi nor MM. You need to look into the settings for your TV.

Guys, can we take the troubleshooting posts to the Troubleshooting section, and keep the Showcase clean(er)? Thanks.
