Myah, MM runs just fine on Linux (following the manual installation instructions.) That’s how I have it running at my office since I don’t have an rPi here.

RE: MagicPlugins - Snow Module by Nicholas Hubbard
I’d also recommend making the images local to the module. What if Imgur disappears one day? What if their URL changes? What if the system MM is on isn’t online all the time? You end up with a broken module that isn’t loading.

RE: Calendar Module - Unable to load Facebook Birthdays
Shear curiosity, can you check the console logs, or simply run
'pm2 logs <YOUR_MM_PROCESS>'and see if there are any helpful messages about the calendar there, specifically the one that’s failing … -
RE: Calendar does not appear
Rather then opening the log files in an editor (nano), can you just run
'pm2 logs <YOUR_PROCESS_NAME>'then highlight and paste what you see into a new post (with the proper markdown)? It’s a bit hard to decipher what’s being shown in that text file you uploaded. -
RE: Calendar Module - Unable to load Facebook Birthdays
Don’t know what to tell you, mine’s working just fine with the webcal address. Have you tried stripping everything and just putting that in, nothing else?

RE: Calendar Module - Unable to load Facebook Birthdays
Your FB Birthdays link is wrong. It’s supposed to be in this form:
{ url: 'webcal://www.facebook.com/ical/b.php?uid=YOUR_FB_UID&key=KEY_PROVIDED_BY_FB' }To find that address, follow these steps:
- On Facebook, click on your Events link (usually from the left hand menu)
- On the Events page, look at the bottom of the right hand side for the following block of links:

- Hover over, and copy the link that reads ‘Birthdays’
- Paste it in your config.js for MM.
My config section for that is what you see above and it works just fine.

RE: Automatic Location Refreshed Daily
Also, depending on where they move to, the rPi’s settings will also need to be changed, timezones for example, and if they cross a big body of water, also the LOCALE … And that’s outside the scope of this project.

RE: Automatic Location Refreshed Daily
The issue with that is that it isn’t reliable. For example, my public IP says I’m in a town about an hour away because that is where Comcast’s main hub is. I’ve gone through this with a different project as well and it simply wasn’t reliable. For some people, or some cities it would work, but others it would simply put you where the service provider decide to resolve the IP, and often it’s at their main hub. You’re better off getting a cheap GPS unit for the rPi and using that. And no, that’s not a project I want to put on my plate, at least not for the foreseeable future.

A different day, a different mirror ...
This just came across my radar. This appears to run entirely on an Android tablet.

RE: Weekly Calendar
Right, we have two different requests here. One is to display a simple, empty calendar, and another to display an actual Google Calendar with contents.
