I would like to see a module that presents an animation of clippy, yes that much derided but now nostalgic MS assistant from the 90’s on a magic mirror. Would be an added bonus if it made the little tink tink sounds when he taps on the glass - if a speaker was connected.
Down the line would be cool to integrated with an AI module to turn clippy into a sort of tamagotchi you hang on the wall and ask questions of. Maybe clippy could just answer with his traditional speech bubbles containing text.
@Mykle1 @BKeyport - yeah like I mentioned. Most have stopped providing APIS. Your climacell module looks cool, but I want to display hourly weather for two locations. left and right sides of the mirror, so this won’t work for me.
Is the only option for hourly weather forecasts the default weather module tweak by hangorazvan? Hourly weather was pretty much the only reason why I wanted to build a smart mirror but with all the good forecasters closing down their API, it’s looking pretty bleak. Any discoveries/suggestions? The default weather module tweak isn’t precise enough for my needs. Thanks
@hango I make wildlife documentaries so knowing what hour the weather is going to change from sunny to overcast, for example, would be really useful. Every 3 hours is much less useful, especially if it’s only showing my the weather every three hours after the sun has set. I can’t think of anyone would need the min and max temp hourly. Generally, the temperature on any given day reaches it’s peak 2-3 hours after the sun has reached its zenith, and its coolest sometime just before dawn. Therefore a min and max temp for the day will suffice for 99% of users.
How would I remove tmperature info from weather forecast module?
@hango Also, it is currently 13:14 and the first time in the hourly forecast is 21:00 - how do I shift it to show the 6 hours immediately after this current time? I also don’t need min and max temperature for each hour so I would like to remove those to de-clutter the space. Any tips?
