@broberg It does work but it shows the blue bar which makes it look bad and untidy. I can hide it but I turn my mirror off every night (to save power) and when it’s turned on, it comes back again. Is there a way to maybe get rig of the blue bar permanently? Or even still have the MM fully maximised and have the taskbar shown over the top?

@Anhalter42 No, I’d like the mirror to stay fullscreen but the top taskbar menu to stay over the top and have a nice and polished look rather than go to the desktop to access it.

I’d like to set the mirror so you can see the taskbar over the mirror so I can access it more easily.

Thanks for the comment, when I applied your code you gave me, the cursor worked but there isn’t anywhere in either of the css files with a line that says unit.

Hi everyone,

I am a real noob when it comes to this sort of stuff.
With that being said, I’d like for the top panel to show through the MagicMirror program so I can access it easily without having to exit the MagicMirror itself.

I have (almost) tried everything under the sun to show but when I start up the MagicMirror, it wont show.

Also, I can’t use the mouse when on the MagicMirror. When I am on desktop, it autohides when inactive but it wont show at all when on MagicMirror.

Hi everyone,

So I’m a real noob at this so please bear with me. I’m requesting a module to be made where if the mirror isn’t connected to the internet, it will display a page telling you to connect to the internet, choose a network and enter your password.

With this mirror, I like to keep things simple so when I want to change networks, I don’t want to take the whole frame (one piece in my case) apart to connect a mouse into it. I can connect a bluetooth keyboard to the Raspberri pi and type the password with the keyboard.

I know that I can connect a bluetooth mouse to the Raspberri Pi but I’d don’t want to have to open up the terminal to get to the main screen just to change networks.

I did as you have written in your own instructions and when I try to configure my mirror through the read me file, it still won’t work. I am not sure what is happening. I am trying to start off by adding an analog clock instead of digital but it will not let me for the life of me. The trouble is that I know that I can change the file and make it work because I can tried changing the clock to sit on the right side instead of the left and it works.

I am a noob but this is really frustrating me. Thanks for helping.

Hi guys, to start, I’d like to say that I am not experienced with this stuff in any sort of way so whatever is explained to me would have to be in the simplest way possible.

Ok, so I have gotten up to the step where I get to customise how I want my mirror to look. I have tried many times but failed. It says in the tutorial that I have to ‘Duplicate config/config.js.sample to config/config.js’ but I don’t know what that means. When I enter ‘config/config.js.sample’ to the terminal while under the ‘cd ~/MagicMirror’ directory, it says permission denied. I don’t know what this means and I don’t know a way around it.

Could someone please explain to me how to customise my mirror? I have been stuck on this for over 2 weeks. Thanks!
