@retroflex Thanks I have added MMM-Logging. But I couldn’t see any information about this issue in the out.log (However the error log is quite big, around 300MB, is that normal?)

I’m having lots of infos like this… but nothing else, the issue is still there…

I was able to capture when it disappears (I looking at it at the moment). It just the modules faded out, like someone hidden it. No crash, no restart, nothing spectacular…

    • RE: Virtual Magic Mirror...is it possible?

@sdetweil Yes this is what I also did!
I just installed a Debian Desktop and downloaded and installed MagicMirror on it manually. I got the same results, but the performance was better on my PC compared to the RPi even in a low configured VM :D

    • RE: MMM-GoogleAssistant, segmentation fault!

use MMM-AssistantMk2. It is a newer version, maybe this is not supported.

From the Github page: “(Deprecated) This project is not supported any more from original owner. Use alternative MMM-AssistantMk2”

    • Sometimes random modules gets hidden

      Hi everyone!

I have started testing my MagicMirror, before putting everything together and mouting on the wall.
Everything works fine, except one thing:
Sometimes random modules (so lets say I have 8 modules, and 6-7 of them) gets hidden. Not all of them, not always the same modules, but they disappear. I can easily switch back them to visible in the MagicMirror Remote Control menu. So it really just gets hidden.

What can cause this? Previously I have used ModuleScheduler module to hide and show modules based on time, but now all of my used modules support this by design, so I don’t need it. I have also deleted that module, but the issue is the same.

      Can someone help me?

      Thanks!

    • RE: MagicMirror special characters

@broberg Can you give me a kind of detailed instructions how to do this?
Which I have tried, didn’t help at all.

    • RE: MagicMirror special characters

@broberg Exactly. But I don’t know why. I have read in an earlier Github issue, that some minimized fonts were loaded, but that was marked as solved. Can it be that since today, MagicMirror uses some other fontkit which doesn’t include this characters? Other ‘special’ characters are okay…

    • RE: MagicMirror special characters

Yes, I also didn’t had any problems with this before. But before applying this config to Raspberry I also installed it on a VM (Debian), I had the same issue there (but I thought that I missed something during the manual install).

Here is what it looks like on the mirror:

    • MagicMirror special characters

      Dear Community!

I have finished setting up my Raspberry Pi 3B with MagicMirror (the install was done with the automatic bash script).
However some special Hungarian characters not displayed with the Roboto font (but with some basic font). Like ‘ő, ű’ etc…

Can I somehow replace the Roboto font which contains these characters? If yes how can I apply to the whole setup, not for specific modules?

Also where I can find a font which contains all characters? On Google Font I just found the one which doesn’t contain these characters…
