RE: Amazon Fire 7/8/10 & Magic Mirror...
Stop posting in MY post then! No one is making you! I am NO troll I was here for advice etc like anyone else and I shared a idea and I got this for my trouble. You know what they say about kids if you ignore them they will get bored. Think I will do that in this instance! I am sure the way everyone is acting they must be younger than me or if they are older then it’s sad to be acting like this! Yo Mom lol!!! Childish!

RE: Amazon Fire 7/8/10 & Magic Mirror...
Obvs you must be 5 years old! Go away. If you have nothing decent to add then grow up! Also writing in something else other than English then I hope it’s against rules because it will be a insult!

RE: Amazon Fire 7/8/10 & Magic Mirror...
Have I joined a kids forum?!? Feels like it… I was giving people another option to make themselves a magic mirror. I didn’t know this would cause such a knicker twist for many and I didn’t know this was a exclusive club either. I was going to build a Pi version also but I was asking if it would be possible in what I asked and thought if it helped others to be able to make a magic mirror more easy then I didn’t see the prob with that (after all this is a forum and they are normally to ask questions and share thoughts and get advice). I hadn’t moaned once about waiting for a answer either?!? Not sure where you / others got that from. I cannot be bothered to argue with people acting like children.

RE: Amazon Fire 7/8/10 & Magic Mirror...
Isn’t this a magic mirror forum?!? Or am I mistaken… Is it exclusive to what you mentioned above only - I don’t see that written anywhere… I was here looking for help but atm don’t seem to getting much from anyone (based on ‘answers’ / ‘advice’).

Amazon Fire 7/8/10 & Magic Mirror...
So I am looking at getting Amazon Fire 7/8/10 (as they have dropped in price atm and it’s easier than buying a Pi and coding it and or alot of effort) and the magic mirror app (can anyone give advice which app is best to use? I only want it for time, date, weather, news, maybe sport and if possible voice commands ie. Alexa) and a Ribba frame or display case from Ikea and then getting some mirrored film or acrylic mirrored glass. My question is if I get Amazon fire 7/8/10 will I be able to use it as a magic mirror (I know I may have to flash it or side-load Google play), also if I get the app will I still be able to give voice commands to Amazon Fire 7/8/10 is it just a app or does it make the device only work as a magic mirror once installed?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Info....?
@Mykle1 Yes thanks but I could of done this myself… I was asking if anyone has links to what they used etc. Not just giving me Amazon / Ebay etc link to home page and telling me to search on those for it.

Wondering....
I wonder if I bought a cheap mirror if it would allow screen image through… Or if I removed that back coating you sometimes find on back of mirrors if it would then let screen image through mirror. I’d rather go to a shop (UK) and walk away with something rather than buy on Amazon or such like.

RE: 22'' Display + 40cmx50cm IKEA Frame + PIR Sensor
Isn’t a 40/50 Ribba frame at Ikea…?!? Thinking of using this or two back to back. Also can you quote the one way reflective film you used as the link was just a link to Ebay.

RE: Info....?
@Mykle1 Thanks but I am able to Google Amazon and then type in acrylic two-way mirror. I posted here for links to what others have used and or places they have bought them from (including stores).

RE: Info....?
@Mykle1 Thanks do you have a link? I would much rather pick parts up in shops tho if possible.

Info....?
Good afternoon everyone,
I am new here. I am UK based and I am wondering has anyone found any DIY / hobbycraft shops that sell acrylic mirror or mirror film? Also has anyone found any good pre-made frames (Ikea? or such). Thanks in advance. TGBB.
