@sdetweil - well, that explains it…I was using ctrl-r and wondering why it wasn’t working. Eventually, I was just “x” out of the terminal window. Again, thank you for the help.

@sdetweil - thank you for the help. It’s finally working with your help. My calendar is up and running. But another quick question, I’m using npm start to start the calendar. How would I stop the calendar? Again, Thank you!

Hello all,
So, it’s been a while since I’ve worked on MM. So, I just recently upgraded my PI3 and updated MM as well to the latest version. I’m getting a black screen whenever I’m starting MM. This is what I’m getting after running /npm start…(any help is appreciated)

I guess @Mahault fell off the face of the earth? Looks like we answered his questions! lol

This weekend I’m going to be working some more on the MM especially the CSS to get the calendars the way I want. So, I’m going to be making the “custom.css” file. Which of the current “.css” file am I going to us to fill the “custom.css” file? Also, on the next updating of MM am I going to lose the “custom.css” file?

I suspectmaxItemsof each view, but not confirm the reason without real ical data. send me your ical’s URL to inspect what happens. (eouia0819@gmail.com)
@Sean - it was sent. Thank you!
I’m confusing myself with all these examples I’m looking out from the main documentation to other people’s examples. When MM starts, I get the monthly calendar the entire screen but with none of my information from any of the four calendars that I have. Also, I do get the “Upcoming” view in the top_left hand corner with only my information from “Turtle’s Calendar” but not the other calendar. Here is my code…
config: {
calendars : [
{
name: "Turtle's Calendar",
url: "",
},
{
name: "Work Calendar",
url: "",
},
{
name: "Bill Calendar",
url: "",
},
{
name: "Payday Calendar",
url: "",
},
],
views: [
{
name: "MONTHVIEW",
mode: "month",
position: "bottom_bar",
calendars: ["Turtle's Calendar", "Work Calendar", "Bill Calendar", "Payday Calendar"],
},
{
name: "DAILYVIEW",
mode: "upcoming",
Title: "Upcoming Events",
slotCount: 10,
hideOverflow: false,
filterPassedEvent: true,
calendars: ["Turtle's Calendar", "Work Calendar", "Bill Calendar", "Payday Calendar"],
},
],
scenes: [
{
name: "DEFAULT",
views: ["MONTHVIEW", "DAILYVIEW"],
},
],
},
},

@sdetweil - thank you again…I got it up and working. Just got to do some tweaking!
@sdetweil - wait a minute…do you mean after the name as in “Turtle’s Calendar”? I have them after each of the URL.
@sdetweil said in MMM-CalendarExt2:
@Turtle after each name: line needs to end with a comma ,
@sdetweil - after putting the post up there, I saw that and added them. Also, added quotes around module name “MMM-CalendarExt2”.
But I’m still getting the same message.
So, all day yesterday, I had everything working with just one calendar and the MM working find. Today, I tried adding three other calendar to the code and now I’m getting a screen that’s telling me the “Must create a config file”. I must have done some syntax wrong that I’m just not seeing. Anyone show me what I’m doing wrong? I removed my url links. Here is my whole config file code…

all I know is that I’m glad to hear I’m not going crazy for not seeing the custom.css. lol
@Sean said in MMM-CalendarExt2:
@Turtle
I don’t know why, but some nowadays version of MagicMirror has been missingcss/custom.css. Just create empty text file and name it ascustom.cssthen save it to yourcssdirectory.
@Sean - I thought I could do that but wanted to make sure but before I did that though I was able to find another css file called “MMM-CalendarExt2” in another folder and made some changes to that file which seems to be working. Of course, I made a backup of it just in case but for some reason, that file is acting like custom.css.
@cskenney said in MMM-CalendarExt2:
@Turtle In the CSS folder you should also have a custom.css file (in addition to the main.css file) that was created when you installed MagicMirror.
@cskenney - I do not have a custom.css file. Only have the main.css file. Why I’m so confused right now.
@sdetweil, Thank you! I ran the scripts during the original install.
Hello @Sean,
I just came upon your MMM-CalendarExt2 in the last few days. I think it will do what I need it to do for me. Awesome job! But before I dive in, I like to get myself familiar with it. After reading all the posts in this thread, you keep mentioning about adding “style codes” into the css/custom.css file. By any chance, this been renamed to “main.css”? This is the only css file I have in the “MagicMirror/css/” folder.
@sdetweil - What do you mean by “to add it later”? When I ran your first script, it added the pm2. Does the fixuppm2 script update pm2 or just installs it? If I already have it, I don’t need to run the script, correct?
