@rukytech use my install script.

@sdetweil many thanks for the quick reply, i shall try it out today and report with results

@sdetweil i installed raspberrypiOS on the laptop(making it a rpi basically) and i tried the manual installation but again i had errors. I assume i keep getting the node and npm versions wrong. I popped in ur script and worked like a charm. Thank you again. Now, everytime i close the magic mirror app, it automatically restarts, i assume its by dessign from the last part of the script. Is there a way to disbale it temporarily until im done setting it up?
Also does this script work with any linux distro? Like puppy? -
@rukytech you said yes to pm2, SO… its JOB is to start and keep mm running…
SO,
alt-spacebar,n to minimize MM
ctrl-alt-t to open a terminal window
pm2 status to see what being managed
pm2 stop MagicMirror
or
pm2 stop the number of the line (0 probably)
or
pm2 stop allpm2 --help for all the other thing pm2 can do

Hello everyone,
I’m Patrick from France. I’m also trying to install MagicMirror on an old 32 bit computer. Like Rukytech, I’ve installed Raspberry pi OS and tried the sdetweil script installation. Unfortunately, I get a 404 error apparently, when installing node.js.I get the following message:
curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404
Error: download preflight failed for ‘20.9.0’ (https://nodejs.org/dist/v20.9.0
/node-v20.9.0- Linux-x86. tar. xz)And indeed, it seems that the file node-v20.9.0- Linux-x86. tar. xz no longer exists.
Thanks in advance if anyone has an idea. I hope it’s not a problem to have resurrected this old topic. -
@pato too old, sorry

@sdetweil Too bad, I’m 2 years late . Thanks anyway for the quick reply. I’ll try to find a solution.
