So did anyone figure out how they use a two-way mirror as a touch screen?

@janthonyds the ir frame goes above the mirror-glass (i.e the ir diodes are mounted in the frame around the mirror).
Google IR-frame, or IR touch and similar and you will get lot’s of results and information.

@broberg said in Touch screen over two way mirror:

                IR-frame

They have two kinds according to my research, the Infrared Touch Frame Overlays and Integration Kits, The latter does not have glass. Is this the one I install over the top of my two-way mirror? I appreciate your help by the way

@janthonyds so the first time I did it I got the full thing glass and all. The glass was really just held in by glue so using a screwdriver I pried the glass out. Then I measured exactly in mm the glass. I ordered two way glass amd it fit snugly inside! Hope that helped I can send some pics of it!

Sorry people, I got another question, I read a lot of your replies and I’ve noticed that you mention “glass” two-way mirror as far as replacing the glass in the overlay frame . My question is can you use acrylic instead or does it have to be glass? Another thing, they sell the IR frame without glass, is this a good idea? Thanks people

                        Hi,
I am just inte the planning stage of a smart mirror.
Wish to use a Asus VT207N 19.5 as screen.

Do anyone know if the touch will work through the mirror film or a acrylic mirror?

                        Have anyone done this before?

                        Please advise,
                        Carl
