@cowboysdude No i understand your message completely and apologize you’re right this isn’t the place. You/Mich/Several other devs have truly blown me away with your generosity and continued support on these forums. It is crazy that anyone can post and the person who made the module gets right back to them. Thank you for that and I’m sorry.

  • RE: Touch screen over two way mirror

@janthonyds so the first time I did it I got the full thing glass and all. The glass was really just held in by glue so using a screwdriver I pried the glass out. Then I measured exactly in mm the glass. I ordered two way glass amd it fit snugly inside! Hope that helped I can send some pics of it!

  • RE: Boot Magic Mirror on start up.

Did you follow this guide exactly? https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki/Auto-Starting-MagicMirror

First time I tried i missed the step where you copy paste the code provided by the script into the terminal! Pm2 can be a little finicky I find at first but once it is running smooth works like a charm!

  • RE: Asus Tinker Board

could use a hand as there doesn’t seem to be much support in the community which is odd!

Got one today, loaded a fresh sd card with a fresh install of their newest os and i can’t get it to boot! It swirls around and around for a while loading different things but eventually just crashing:/ Anyone else have this issue? Power supply?

@Barbarian said in What kind of glass do you use for your MagicMirrors?:

Hi there! Hope you enjoyed your build! Yes I personally highly recommend using real glass as I think it looks much nicer! I recommend Two Way mirrors They ship internationally and although they are quite expensive there product is beautiful! Best of luck! I hope you find a good affordable solution soon!

  • RE: Need help buying glass for smart mirror ?

Hi there!! so personally I purchased from www.twowaymirrors.com due to the fact that no glass companies in my area sold one way mirror/two way glass (they are the same thing, i get that mixed up frequently!) But call around to local glass shops and see!

I personally recommend the glass and not purchasing the acrylic as it is a small price difference for a huge change in the quality, acrylic tends to look less relfective and doesn’t look as natural as the real glass does. I have never used plexiglass so I can not speak to its quality. The real glass looks like a true mirror even more so in my opinion than the “Smart mirror glass” but to each their own! Best of luck i hope this helped answer your question a bit!
